Hey anyone remember these?
http://vimeo.com/19268086 Go to 9:30 to see Lindsey. Judging by the look of him this was about 98-2000-ish?

Very nice. It sounds like one of his demos where he just makes up words to a tune.

The commercial ends with Lindsey playing Big Love

I dont think think its actually Lindsey playing Big Love. Doesnt sound like his picking.
Cool Find though, I think the way Lindsey plays guitar is simply amazing, every time i watch him play. Not like him to use the Turner Model 1 for a wee session like that, was expecting a strat or an acoustic.

Interesting and strange commercial. I don't really like it when celebrities appear in commercials, hocking products and whoring themselves. As though their dignity is for sale. But at least he isn't selling anything so I suppose I can cope.

Reminds me of 'To Try For the Sun'.

I thought it was definitely based on that. Some of the licks are there, although the chords are in an ever so slightly different order at some points.

I thought Faith Hill sounded like a mediocre American Idol contestant.
I don't follow her so I wouldn't know if this is how she sounds usually but it isn't very good. Especially for someone who doesn't write her own songs and is known primarily as a vocalist.Lindsey looked so good! But the whole thing was a bit boring/predictable. I'm glad I saw it, though, and thank you for posting! |

I'm pretty sure it's him, he's just playing it on the Turner electric.

You may be right again though, right at the very very end that is him saying "Me" again isnt it? Why would lindsey do that Big Love lick on the electric, I think he should have squeezed in that "Take a little time" tune instead. Which by the way better have evolved into a track on this new cd in may. I love that sound.

That is for sure Lindsey on the Turner in the end. And Yes, that final "me" is definately his voice. Cool find!

I just played this and it scared the crap outta my cat that was sleeping in my lap (Missy, and she's none to happy about it...Ruined her relaxing listen to Strapping Young Lad on my Sony multi-disc changer) but I honestly have to say I had never seen this footage before.
So thanks for sharing.
