I chose Love Is. It's a super powerful song with extremely thought provoking lyrics. The vocal is gorgeous. The song leaves you yearning for more, and contemplating the ride you've just been on. I think it's a masterful closer.

I tend to like the slower more depressing songs as closers- so Love Is is it for me!!

I choose Edge Of Seventeen, When your done listening to a CD you wanna be happy and not crying (im pathetic so i cry for beauty and the beast, and love is). So edge of seventeen isn't exactly the happiest song, but its a more upbeat song

The Highwayman, though it has never gotten much love here. For me, the other choices don't come close.

I agree! I also voted for The Highwayman. Such a perfect album closer. It really tells a story, more so than any of her other songs.

If we are talking about individual tracks, I'd have to pick BATB or Love Is. But if we are looking at the entire album, I'd have to pick The Highwayman. I think this song does the best job in really closing out the entire album. After listening to all of Bella Donna, The Highwayman is just the thing the album needs to be finished off so nicely.

But if I was just picking a song to listen to, I'd still rather hear Stevie weeping "la bete!"

It's a toss-up between Love Is and The Highwayman for me. As a closer, however, I give the nod to The Highwayman. "And still they try again..." Perfect.

Agreed completely. I may be bias but I don't care.

Edge for sure. CV starts with Edge, which gets you in an extremely hyped up excited mood, which you need for I Can't Wait. The mood slowly gets deeper and darker the further you get into the album, with a few random bursts of energy. Then, you get to the ever amazing Leather and Lace to calm you down. And what a perfect way to end an album than to reenergize you with a kick ass version of Edge? You have now experienced Stevie Nicks.

Beauty and the Beast. The Wild Heart has both an amazingly powerful opening song, and a beautifully haunting closing song.

Wild Heart and BATB are the perfect bookends for what I'm starting to consider Stevie's most perfect album.

The Highwayman is best composition. Great ballad. I don't get the Love Is thing at all. I just think it's bland and anyone could of wrote it. I wonder if she would of closed with the Highwayman instead of Love Is if people would be championing that one. It baffles me.

I picked Desert Angel, because I love her voice there. It´s great song.

I do think "Love Is" is very beautiful but I also think you're right - peeps seem to be jumping on the Love Is bandwagon right now. A big part of it has to be that she brought out this rare gem, however, like you said - had it been The Highwayman I think the reception would be the same.
