Hey All,
New week - new video. ![]() This time I had my friend edit “Sorcerer” to the Sheryl Crow Edit. I love the intro to this, it gives the song a bit of life as opposed to the original (just my opinion). Also, no special effects on this video, just a nice and clean edit re-worked to the Sheryl Crow Edit. JNX felt the video didn't need any special effects this time. Next week I’ll be posting “I Can’t Wait”. Saving the best for last ("last" until we do more videos). Hope you like it. I love it. Although I still prefer the original (because the echoed guitar on the chorus makes it sound a bit more magical), I do enjoy the Sheryl Crow Edit. The fast intro is awesome. If she would've mixed in the echoed guitar on her version, the song would've been perfect.
Great video! You did a great job synching up everything! |

Fantastic! Loving these! (How do I DL them?)
Future considerations: "Angel" ~ The Japanese video with the short lip synch part, perhaps interspersed with more studio footage and maybe some concert footage. "Talk To Me" ~ Utilizing the alternate footage? "Freedom" ~ Japanese lip-synch plus several 1990-era photos of Stevie. "Say You Will" ~ With both the official video and the Boston DVD. |

The Angel clip was one of the first I had one. My friend did in fact use both Stevie in the studio and the live clip both from the Tusk doc. Now keep in mind, the live version is much much faster than the original recording. If I recall correctly it is something like 127 BPM (beats per minute) whereas the original recording is only 117 BPM (approx.) so it was very tricky for him to match the footage up - but he actually did a pretty good job. I'll post that one eventually. As far as "Talk To Me", I have yet to find a HQ copy of the alternate video - that would be a factor is having it done. However, I did have yet another friend use both the live footage from Red Rocks and the original video to create a new "edit." However, he got confused - he thought I wanted the original version of the song to be used but in fact I wanted to use the other alternate version that ended up on that Rock N Roll compilation CD a few years back - so, that is just one of the many projects on the list to do :-) Last edited by Travis; 08-02-2010 at 05:58 PM.. |

Glad you like it - though I'm not sure what you mean about the "echoed guitar" on the chorus - I'll have to listen to it again. Don't get me wrong, I like the original as well but, I feel the Sheryl Crow Edit intro gives it the life that it needs. I'm all about keeping the vibe up :-). |

Also - I wasn't planning on making this clip one of the "featured" ones but since I had room for the week, I went ahead and upload this little diddy ... it's just something different I wanted for "If Anyone Falls." This clip contains both the Live in Chicago clip and original video and has been re-tracked using the CD audio from Soundstage (no audience)
