Default Help me find new music

I was wondering if any ledgies can help me find any Mac influenced new bands, Something to get obsessed about. While i love the Mac and all there solo efforts too, there will come a day when there will be no new albums and no tours to look forward to and it doesn't bear thinking about, so i'm deciding to get myself prepared for this but i'm finding it hard to get excited about anything the way i did when i first heard Fleetwood Mac. So far i like The Magic Numbers but thats about all.

Would be very grateful for any suggestions

Charlie

Florence + the Machine!

Not Mac related in the slightest but seriously, I'll never stop singing Florence Welch's praises. I'm going to see them on Sunday and I don't go to concerts by bands who released material after about 1988 Flo reminds me of Stevie in that she's got this amazing voice and amazing hair. They're not the same but they have the same sortof fairy princess look.

Fan Made video for my favourite song

Drumming Song, which I can't embed but you must hear http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpLXQorSQe8

I actually found 2 of my new favorite albums on Zombie's old Top 10 favorite albums thread. Search for it! There is a lot of good music suggestions.

I've heard people say that Rilo Kiley have a Mac influence, and I agree. Check out "Silver Lining" & "Dreamworld".

I'm pretty sure the verses of Dreamworld have the same chord progression as the verses of our "Dreams." I'm not 100% certain because I'm no form of a musician, but it just sounds that way to me.

And I second the Florence + the Machine rec! Absolutely amazing. Check out Drumming Song as well.

Although I don't know if there's any Mac influence, I hear a lot of Mac-worthy music in An Pierle & White Velvet (avialable on iTunes and AMAZON)

"Tenderness" and "Snake Song" particularly struck me as Mac-ish/Stevie-ish . . . plus she is in love with the lead guitarist.

But the whole album is beautiful; imagine Kate Bush voice and Chris Isaak harmonics.

Here are two of the singles:

Jupiter
(Check out the Kate Bush-style vocalizations at the end)

How Does It Feel?
("Radiohead for girls" . . . and isn't that BETTER?!)

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.
