Default Which Stevie "Voice" is your Favorite?

This may be a weird question, but you know how Stevie's voice changed over time? Which is your favorite????

Examples:
Buckingham Nicks (not too confident with her voice)
Rumours (hitting high notes; very delicate)
Bella Donna/Wild Heart(starts to get low...vibrato)
Rock a Little/Tango( all of a sudden her voice got high again! And kind of youngish - "When I See You Again" and "Joan of Arc")
Early 90s - low again
The Dance----TISL---SYW(pretty strong)
Unleashed/Crystal Visions(a tad higher)

my vote is for Bella Donna/Wild Heart......love all her performances from then...but when i hear songs in the likeness of "Joan of Arc" her voice is haunting! I love it!

I'd go for from Rumours right through until The Wild Heart era. Everything from the Rosebud Rhiannon, to the Tusk-doc Angel, The White Wing Dove Edge Of Seventees - her voice was GREAT!

agreed! Her voice is still beautiful today, but it was REALLY gorgeous back then......I would also include the "fleetwood mac/fleetwood mac" recordings and "buckingham nicks" years as well

Honestly, I like them all in their own special way!

However, I hate it when she doesn't put enough breath behind her sound and goes under pitch. That has happened at various points!

Like others have said, I tend to like them all for their own merits.

That being said... I guess I'd have to chose Rumours if I could only pick one. She kind of sang from the back of her throat on that album, which gave her a tone which hasn't been seen before or since.

It's a toss-up for me between "Rumours" and "Wild Heart". Her voice was quite something in the Rumours era...totally unique, capable of going from the delicate vocal of "Dreams" to the pyrotechnics of the live "Rhiannon" at that time. Her vocal on the original "Dreams" has never been topped IMO...it had a sexy, just-got-out-of-bed quality that totally suited the imagery of a conversation with an emotionally distant lover.

The Wild Heart era was the peak of "raspy voice" Stevie. The suppleness of the Rumours era was gone, but she made great use of her deepened lower range and was still able to hit some decent high notes. The vocal on the title cut was a tour-de-force and seems to be somewhat overlooked...it's rarely discussed on these forums. The only sign of trouble were the verses of "Nightbird" where her voice sank into her sinuses, foreshadowing the problems that would be more prominent on RAL.

It's pretty amazing how her voice audibly changed on virtually every album. The only "steady state" periods that come to mind are FM's GH ("No Questions Asked") through TOSOTM and BTM, and TISL through SYW.

I going with all of them as well. However, I am a sucker for Rosebud Rhiannon....and I like her young voice on Louisa Joy (Fritz)..it's just cute..lol
Her voice is one of a kind! I have always said, no matter when or where, I can pick that disitnct voice of hers out of a crowd!

I'm gonna go out on the limb and say the Rock A Little era. I love the craziness of it all!!! The random wails during the concerts and everything! I love the RAL voice!!!

I like Stevie's different voices at different times, for different situations.

Right now it's '95 to '01.

But I'd probably say my favorite is '76-'77

RAL was pretty nice.

But i loveee hearing the SA bootlegs! And the TISL ones.
Her voice is so strong to me during that time period, so that gets my vote. 94-01

For me, her voice was at its zenith from Bella Donna through Mirage. Tusk and The Wild Heart are close seconds.
