Have you been here before? Déjà vu

Am rereading Shirley MacLaine’s ‘Out On a Limb’ (about her interest in the paranormal and past lives) and was thinking about Stevie’s own belief in reincarnation.

Do you think there’s something to it? Ever have past life/lives recall? Or at least feel strangely drawn to or feel an affinity to a certain historical time period, or to a culture very different from your own?

Personally, I’ve ever had unusual experiences or recall at all, but the concept of ‘being here before’ is fascinating to me nonetheless.

I’m very drawn to Brit culture. I did live there (in Manchester, England I mean) when I was young, but I was too young for it to have made any impression on me at all. Nowadays, I do have a passionate interest in the Tudor era (the time of Henry VIII, Elizabeth I, etc.) and I’m also really attracted to the turn of the century or so period in Britain (as in the E.M. Forster book/films ‘A Room With a View’ ‘Maurice’ and ‘Howard’s End’). Feels strangely very ‘at home’ to me.

Anyways, being a ‘rational’ person, I’m 99.999% sure it’s just a very strong interest, no more than that. But if reincarnation is something that’s a fact, and I had to pick some time I was ‘in’ before, it would definitely be those two.
