I Googled and found several links about it, it's listed on Amazon but it seems like it was never actually published (obviously, or else I probably would've known about it). Was she close to releasing a autobiography in 1989? Has anyone more info on this?

I heard a interview from during the wild heart era where Stevie said they video taped recording all of Bella Donna, and that they also taped most of the recording of The Wild Heart. So maybe they planned to make a documentary out of all that footage?? I'm sure thats where we got a lot of the DVD footage from Crystal Visions, but it's nice to know they recorded all of Bella Donna and most of Wild Heart. And since she hasn't released any of the Wild Heart footage and I'm sure there is some BD footage she hasn't released, there is always stuff left for her to release when she isn't doing a new record.

And I also saw an interview done right before RAL where Stevie said she had a book coming out and tells whoever is there (who had just brought in one of her paintings/drawings) that "We should get the book too, its in the back room." They never bring the book out, but Stevie says, "The book is called The Wild Heart, and umm the book is really... we call it 'the book', it's uh, a lot of poetry, it's some journalistic stuff, it's a lot of the um actual nights of recording The Wild Heart and the experiences that happened in that 2 or 3 year period and uh, there's some things from my Fleetwood Mac stash of 10 years of writing. Uhh that, that part of it, that, the real essence of that isn't in this book because thats a book in itself unto its own soul that I don't have the time to do yet. Umm, it's thick, this book it's like really thick. And it's uh, it's my life and it's very honest. The names have been changed but it's very honest. And it's, I think it's uh, I think people will really... I think if you like my work you will like this because it's got a lot of, it has a lot of advice, and a lot of uh philosophy in it that either did or didn't work for me. And so it's there on the paper to tell you that it did or did not work, and then make your choice and go on. So thats really what it's for. It's my uh, kinda little way of besides singing, to talk to the people I play for and sing for and give them a little bit more of me. I'm very excited about it... I'm excited about them, I'm excited about them getting it. I'm not excited about me putting it out, I'm excited about them receiving it, you know?"

Sorry about the "uh" in every sentence but I felt I had to type it exactly how she said it. So apparently it was an actual book that she seemed to have really planned on releasing. My guess is either that she pulled it or something fell thru. I don't know what happened, but apparently she did write the book and it's there! Maybe one day she will release it.. just maybe.

As for the Bella Donna footage thing, I guess that's what all the in studio footage found on the Crystal Visions DVD is from. It was most likely filmed for that and never completed, like the book.
