Default Alice video shoot?

So maybe I am crazy, but I swear I read somewhere that Stevie did a video shoot for Alice, but the video was never released?
And somebody posted pictures of it, but now I can't find the pictures or the info about it anywhere.
Maybe I went to the other side of the mirror for a while, but does anyone know what I am talking about?!

I seem to recall hearing something about this as well. But I don't believe "Alice" was ever intended as a single (so why shoot a video?). The song was released as the b-side to "Rooms On Fire" so it doesn't seem likely that there was ever a plan to promote it as a single.

She dressed up as Alice for the Other Side of the Mirror listening party. There are pictures floating around of that. Maybe someone saw them and thought it was a video shoot for Alice?

A snippet of the Alice video is shown in this interview at the 2:33 mark. There is more of this Alice video but the part it is on is not currently on youtube. I have seen it. We only get maybe 30 seconds of it, but you are right, it does excist.

Wow..I 've seen part of this interview but never really realized that snippet was in there or that it was part of an Alice video...how cool! I love the song Alice...I wish she would have released it as a single or that we'd be able to see the whole video.

Are you sure Viv? I have a high quality version of this interview that I recorded from the TV back in 1989 and that snippet appears to be shot on video rather than film, the same quality as the rest of the interview. There's also similar shots of her standing in doorways and walking down hallways in the stately home where the interview was conducted. There's also a performance of Doing The Best I Can performed there too.
Of course I could be wrong, I often am, but it always looked to me like it was filmed by the same crew who did the actual interview. Same with the Doing The Best I Can performance.

While I have no proof that an Alice video exists, the footage of what you have decsribed here is what I believe the original poster and I believed is the video for Alice. Probably because they play the song while she's twirling around this Castle in her capes. I don't think there was ever an actual video in production for the song, just stuff from this interview. Does this make any sense?

What you are saying does make sense.
I have never seen the video, so I don't know that one exists and they may have just filmed those things for that interview.
But when I first heard about the video, someone said that she did do a video for it and they posted pictures.
And she was in a dark room with some candles.
I wish I could find the pictures or the site where I originally got the info but I have no clue where it was.
Grr!
Why didn't I bookmark it?!

It does make sense and I agree.

Stevie was in one of Mick's music videos (I Want You Back, I think) and she's holding candles. Maybe it's that?

I think APerfectLie might be thinking of the video made for one of the Street Angel tracks, I think it was Maybe Love, which was never released. There's photos from that where Stevie is ghostly white, has a curly blonde wig on and is surrounded by candles.

Definitely didn't realize there was that snippet in that video! Oh how I would have loved for Alice to be a single and for there to have been that full video released!!!!

So- if they filmed a video, but never released it, does that mean it's floating around out there?

I believe that video was for Unconditional Love which was supposed to be the lead single off Street Angel before Stevie fired Glyn Johns and went back into the studio to remix all the tracks.

You're right! I couldn't remember what track it was for.

Here's a thread about it with some photos. Are these the photos you are thinking about APerfectLie?

Ethan, I'm pretty sure there wasn't an official video for Alice. I believe it was just footage shot to accompany that song for that televised interview on British TV and I would be surprised if they edited more than a few seconds worth together for it.
