Default Lindsey/Carol Ann Harris

Not sure if anybody will be interested, but my two sons, who are half of a new, young band called Audio Repeat have just posted some demo's on their myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/audiorepeat). One track in particular - "If I Took You Away" is about the Lindsey/Carol Ann relationship from her viewpoint.

Just thought I'd share - as I'd guess it's a little unusual to have a bunch of 16/17 yr olds putting together an FM-related track. Even more unusual when it's looking from the CAH side (it's not anti-lindsey, more a comment that in FM v CAH, there was only ever likely to be one winner).

If you do wander over and have a listen, just remember it's a demo.. it needs more polish.. just as soon as they get some polishing money together!

Cheers
Darren

Thank you for taking a listen.. and for your comments - I'll certainly pass them on!

I'm pretty much always biased towards anything Mac related, so it's no surprise that I like it.. but it seems it's also proving to be the most popular of the tracks they've posted

Thanks again for you kind words

Darren

Default Lindsey/Harris relationship related track..

Oh yeah I read this in that forum. Any way you can post this as an MP3 here? I bet more of us would/could here it that way.

Hey Darren, curious, how'd your sons become familiar with the relationship?

Hiya. I've been a Mac fan since my early teens... so both my boys have grown up knowing much of the story. After I'd read Storms a while ago, they asked me what I thought of the book. I replied that it was interesting in places, misleading in others and that a lot of what was said had to be taken with a pinch or five of salt!

I went on to say something like.. "I guess only way that relationship, or most of the others, would have stood any chance would have been away from FM" and that "it was never gonna be possible to separate Lindsey the Person, from Lindsey the Musician and Showman as they're so intricately interwoven".

A few months after this conversation, I went to one of their practice sessions where they tried out a new song - "If I Took You Away"
