Default Any Green Day Fans?

Okay, so I'm sort of doubting this, but why not? Well, GD has a CD, 21st Century Breakdown, that came out a few weeks ago with the single "Know Your Enemy". That's the only song I've really listened to off of it though. They're also either out on tour, or will be shortly. I'm hoping to see them in Chicago, but I'm not sure if the 'rents would approve of that. D: Because after that, they're off to Europe, and I KNOW I'm not going there to see them!

So, anyone like GD? I have their CDs Dookie, Insomniac, Nimrod, and several songs off iTunes.

I'm not a huge fan, but I do love American Idiot. Stuff like "Give Me Novocaine", "St. Jimmy", "Jesus of Suburbia", all awesome. I've been meaning to pick up 21st Century Breakdown, still haven't gotten around to it, but expect to like that a lot as well. I was in HS at the time of Dookie, so there is some fondness for that album but mostly it's American Idiot and that through line of story. I'm especially excited for the upcoming stage version of it, I think the music and story are going to translate really well to the stage. I'd say go to the concert if you can!

I have loved every single they have ever released to radio, yet I don't own any of their cd's. I was considering going to see them cause they are coming soon in concert, but decided to just watch their videos on youtube instead if I feel the need to see them.

Yes, I love them. I am in the UK and going to see them on October 26 in Sheffield which is 4 hour round trip for me. I am so looking forward to it but not as much as I am the following Monday (November 2) as I have another 4 hour round trip to Sheffield to see Fleetwood Mac and have been lucky enough to get 3rd row seats.

I only got into Green Day when they released American Idiot and there was a concert from Milton Keynes, UK shown on TV and it blew me away. Have got 21st Century Breakdown, which I love, and several of their other releases.

When Dookie was released, I was 17. They were still not huge, so when I went to see them, they played the fairgrounds. I was in the mosh pit, lost my shoes, made it to the front of the stage, shook Billy Joe's hand, and walked back to the car at the end of the concert, barefoot, in 3 inches of snow.

I'm glad someonelse likes both Green Day and Fleetwood Mac. I read all of the posts a while ago, but I can't remember what they said, so if there was something I was supposed to reply to, I'm sorry but I'm felling quite lazy right now.

Anyway, has anyone seen/heard their new single/music video, 21 Guns?

I really like it!

Shouldn't they be due for a greatest hits cd by now? I'd buy that.

There's this one:
http://www.amazon.com/International-...5808944&sr=8-8

But it doesn't have anything from American Idiot or 21st Century Breakdown. D:
