From Product Shop NYC
http://productshopnyc.com/htdocs/200...t_at_tick.html What happened on Monday with Springsteen fans is not an isolated incident (on 57th Street). In fact, Ticketmaster still pushes people towards TicketsNow for a plethora of shows that are not sold out, where tickets are priced at three or four or five or six or more times the original face value. As a simple test, I tried getting floor tickets to Fleetwood Mac at the Izod Center. I was immediately told no tickets were available but redirected to TicketsNow, where I was shown a wide range of tickets from floor seats to nose-bleeds, all costing at least twice as much as face value. I then went back to the original site and typed in any tickets, in which case excellent seats in the 100s came up! Try it for yourself here. So why is Ticketmaster turning people towards TicketsNow for shows that are NOT sold out and still have plenty of available tickets? Who is really profiting from this? A federal investigation is now being threatened against Ticketmaster, which could stop their potential merger deals with Live Nation and AEG. |
