I am watching it now. It is good. His interview answers are good. They deviate somewhat from the run of mill ones we see too often. So, that is cool.

I just watched it with the wife...the interviews were boring but his performances were great.

I thought they were never going to let him sing anything new.
And the chick doing the interviewing sucked. Standard Lindsey/FM questions circa 1979 (well, maybe a little more advanced;-) But, he gave pretty much standard answers, too. I loved the new stuff. Except all of these weird private performance things really don't "sell" the product of the little machine all that well. I think part of the excitement and level of performance depends on an audience of esoteric ears. So, in conclusion, WE should have been there! We'd ask more exciting questions and definitely add a bit of color to that fugly studio. But, I do so love having the end of Did You Miss Me on video! Love what he does with the Ahhhhhhs. |

I did record it--on a very old VCR, so I'm not entirely sure how it came out. Especially the sound (I haven't checked yet).
I'll let you know later. |

Well, if they did that, they'd have to add GOS too, because I think that rocked the most. Michele |

Me, too!
GoS was awesome live. I went from not liking the recorded version, to liking it well enough to LOVING the live. But, there is an energy there--with a live audience--and I think we can (the royal WE here) pull him out of himself, on occasion--so you're not seeing the wheels turning ALL the time, but just the pure love of performing. Those are the moments when the fabulous smile emerges, in spite of himself (see, one grumpy person knows another really well!) |
