Staring at the album cover for "The Other Side of the Mirror" on our current face-off, it occurred to me that in many ways this picture is a sort of reflection of the pictures chosen to promote and cover Stevie's Soundstage performance. For example, for Soundstage, Stevie's wearing black and white with a crimson background … for Mirror she's wearing crimson and has a black and white background. And the wide legged pose for both the cover of Mirror and promo for Soundstage - I'm wondering if this color choice/posing was on purpose and symbolic to Stevie in this regard, or just random coincidence (even though I've been told there is no such thing as coincidence …). I'm not sure if anyone else previously pointed out this seemingly "reflective" persona Stevie portrayed with the later pictures, and I find it very interesting – and wonder if anyone knows if the Soundstage pictures artistic theme was developed and crafted by Stevie or her photographer/handlers? And am I the only one who thinks this artwork may have been symbolic of the reflective nature of Stevie's Soundstage performance - stepping back through the mirror for a while?
