Thumbs up Because of all of the Political Happenings: Should the Ledge Elect A President?

Don't know, just thought I would throw this out there. There are a lot of political happenings going on around the world, so perhaps it would be fun if we elected a president for the Ledge.... What do you all think about it? It's probably a stupid idea, but I thought that maybe it may be fun.

Much Love,
Ethan

This idea came to me again today. You all sure you wouldn't like to do something?

The president could serve as a welcoming committee for new members, could try to get more people to join, and stuff like that.

So, just like what we've got for US Presidents now - a figure head. Hmmm...depends on who's running and how good they look on a monitor...

Well I would have to say that more than likely I'd run, if people wanted it.

I'll tell you what, we'll keep this thread running for a couple of days for discussion, and then we'll have an official vote on whether or not to do this. If we vote yes, then we'll gather all the people who want to be on the ballot, and then we'll have an official vote.

Personally I don't see a need for a ledge president...I struggle to see the need for a regular one sometimes...

Just think about it, we'd declare war on The Fleetwood Mac Legacy website just because they might have SMDs (Stevies of Mass Destruction)

Those of us who are supporting Ledgies would suddenly find our money being spent to bail out those who didn't have any money...

The world population of moose would probably decrease further...

Hmm...no I think I'd pass on the idea of a Ledge president...

Hmm, thats quite a conflict of interest there. If you are wanting to push people to elect a president then the first thing you do is rule yourself out. Otherwise you just look like you are trying to get yourself elected.

Tis true.

Hey, it's late, and my college brain is a bit fatigued.

My idea of a Ledge president is not as in depth as you're thinking. President serves as an ambassador to new members, help them and introduce them to Ledge society and whatnot. The President also is on the forefront of bringing new people to the Ledge. They don't have massive Administrative powers.

I am feeling so dumb right now..... I'm not getting it.

But anyway, should we perhaps have a vote on this proposal?

Why on earth would the ledge need a president?

And anyway... the lack of response to your original post surely speaks volumes...
