Default The Alternate Wild Heart...

Now while i was on the topic for mirror mirror, i began to think about the wild heart...now i know the master reels for this album have yet to be released to the fans, but going through my demos that i have collected, stevie completed a lot of full band songs for the wild heart that were not included...i definately think these songs were supposed to be on the album:

belle fleur- full complete band take, and i think in the press releases that came out before the album, belle fleur was included on the track listing

all the beautiful worlds-stevie's most commercial song! why was it cut, it was a hit single!!

violet and blue-not finished in time for the album so it was given to a soundtrack

and possibly...dial the number...i have a full band take of the song from the wild heart era (i can tell from the range in her voice that it is earlier, and not from the TOSOTM era)

i don't know...what do you guys think?

I agree with you about alot of those selections should've been included on WH...esp 'All The Beautiful Worlds'....I don't understand why it wasn't really. I think I Will Run To You shouldn't have went on it at all......Its no SDMHA period. I like Dial The Number (Mirror version too)/I also like On More Tomorrow.....supposedly there aren't too many 'masters' that exsist for WH.....because they recorded in only 10 days or something like that....I was told by someone ....whether thats true or not I don't know but still there have to be some Masters to it someplace of what was recorded. I'd love to hear them myself....who wouldn't really.
Now Belle Fluer isn't one of my favorites....it just kinda sits there for me.....I do recall seeing a small article in the WH tourbook page were Stevie mentions songs for possible inclusion for WH....I so wish I could find that whole article....does anyone have it...know what I'm talking about?? It also mentions her song for Greta Garbo...which is 2 songs.....very interesting really......I love Violet & Blue...great song....those missed opportunities again.....or hits and misses.......

Yeah, it's crazy that so many of those songs that we feel would be classics don't even make it onto the album. ALBW is one of my favorite songs and it is sad to see that very few people in the general fandom public will get the chance to hear that song. Maybe she'll redo it if she ever does another album.

AHHH! Someone else shares my feeling for I will run to you. Yeah, they shoulda done a cooler duet. but all the beautiful worlds in its place would have been better. imho.

oh i completely agree, all the beautiful worlds would have a better replacement, or belle fleur, or even the dealer...i have a version of the dealer from the wild heart era, its slower than most versions
