Default Is Stevie weird for collecting dolls?

Stevie: I've actually had some serious fire drills on the road. And I stand in the middle of the room and think, Well, I have to get my tape, because there's stuff that I've written that is nowhere else. And I have to run down twenty-four flights of staris with all my writing, all my tapes, a guitar, and two or three dolls--I collect dolls. I get to the lobby, and everybody's standing there, saying, "I can't believe you brought all that stuff with you." I'm saying, "Well, you can't believe it, but this is my life."

I was watching a performance by Kathy Griffin on youtube, and she skewers such women, calling them "freaky". You can skip to 8:00.

Stevie's weird for MANY reasons, this is just one tiny part of it. It's the good kind of weird.

A resounding no! Because I collect dolls and that would make me weird . . .

I wouldn't try to rescue them in a fire drill though and I wouldn't take them on the road with me, if that makes things any better.

I collect Cars (both literally and figuratively) and also Stevie stuff, that makes me WEIRD!!! Although the only cars I'd being going down the stairs in I'd be driving (with my Stevie stuff in the trunk)
I recall from her Australian tour that she and Cory Buckingham went shopping there a few years ago for dolls.

As they say, normal is just a setting on the washing machine.

I'd certainly collect a Stevie doll. I saw one on Ebay. I don't know what it went for, I think $300-400. I was sorry I didn't get it.

There was an episode of Coach where the new parents (Craig T. Nelson and Shelley Fabares) had selected a couple to be their god parents. Well, they went over to the couple's house and saw that they had this huge doll collection, all carefully preserved, mint never removed from box. The husband was just as into as the wife. That freaked Coach out and he didn't want them to be godparents any longer.
