Hola.
I have been seeing (on several different threads), how Lindsey encouraged Stevie to perform this song on the tour, but I don't remember seeing any interviews where Stevie or Lindsey stated this. And I am the first to admit, I am sure I missed a few. Would anyone who has a link or a magazine reference point this out to me? I am very interested in how this song made it into the set.

Raven, on the Live In Boston DVD Stevie says something like "this is the first time they've let me perform it". If "they" means Lindsey, maybe that's the answer. I was lucky enough to see them on the SYW Tour, and this was one of the songs I looked most forward to. Now, if she'd have only sang Sisters Of The Moon.....

During the tour Stevie always introduced the song by saying that sometimes as a songwriter, you write something and never think it will be heard again and that's how she felt about Beautiful Child, but this time the band urged her to sing Beautiful Child for the tour, because they knew she loved it so much. She also said that they "let" her do it, which did imply that in the past they didn't let her, as JWD said.

Thanks for all the help. I saw her do this in Lubbock (4th row!!!) and she gave the same intro. I just thought maybe there was some press to back the story up.

ooo..ooo.ooo...and I was there in November 2003 at Earls Court (with other Ledgies) when she said (as she was looking sideways at Lindsey)..."my man, said...you can do this! " and then she launched into BC ........
![]() So there you go, LB was the culprit, although, we did ask her to do it on the Ledge, as I recall, as part of a "what would we like them to sing" thread.
