Default An Evening with Stevie Nicks 2008

This is my first time writting but I have to agree with everyone about Stevie's set list for the summer tour. I am the biggest Stevie Nicks fan I go to all her shows in the NY/NJ area with my daughter and I'm getting tired of the same show. For the price we pay for tickets she should do a show with at least 17 songs not 13 and mix it up a little bit. I came up with the perfect show for the summer of 2008 here is the set list:

1. Outside the Rain
2. Dreams
3. Sometimes it's a Bitch
4. Talk to Me
5. Rooms on Fire
6. Gold and Braid
7. Blue Denium
8. Landslide
9. Stand Back
10. Whole Lotta Trouble
11. Nightbird
12. Gold Dust Woman
13. Every Day
14. Gypsy
15. Edge of 17
Encore:
16. Sisters of the Moon
17. Rhiannon

I would love to see Stevie throw a curve ball at everybody and give some random setlist that nobody would expect and create mixed reviews among her fans. People who only know her for her popular songs might not be too happy. Maybe something like this:

1 - I Can't Wait
2 - Blue Lamp
3 - Straight Back
4 - Bella Donna
5 - Sable on Blond
6 - Nightmare
7 - Alice
8 - How Still My Love
9 - No Spoken Word
10 - Fireflies
11- Talk to Me
12 - Gate and Garden
13- That's Alright
14 - Wild Heart
15 - Rooms on Fire
Encore -
16 - Nightbird
17- Battle of the Dragon

Oh WtchDvl5079, one can dream. It is a wonderful wish list but a curve ball for Stevie would be putting “Gypsy” back in the set. Just for fun, I’ll post what I think would be a realistic set that Stevie could and should do.

01-Whole Lotta Trouble
02-Dreams
03-Talk to Me
04-Blue Denim
05-Gold Dust Woman
06-Sorcerer

Acoustic set:
07-Landslide
08-It’s Only Love
09-Leather and Lace

10-If Anyone Falls
11-Planets of the Universe
12-Stand Back
13-How Still My Love
14-Edge of Seventeen

Encore:
15-Nightbird
16-Fall from Grace

Final Encore:
17-Rhiannon

The only song on here that Stevie has yet to perform is "It's Only Love." Every other song has been performed live. With all the free time on her hands with "no sh*t to do" they can practice some of the older songs and bring in one new song. Not much to ask for ...

-Rhiannon

i don't mind listening to the same set list. we know that is how she is and i don't think she will change it unless she has a cd of all new songs.

My dream setlist [that would MAKE me go to the Boston show] would be:

-Planets of the Universe
-That's Alright
-Blue Lamp
-Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind
-If Anyone Falls
-Crystal
-Outside the Rain
-How Still My Love
-Seven Wonders
-Kick It
-Rooms on Fire
-Trouble in Shangri-La
-Goodbye Baby/Beautiful Child
-Angel/Destiny Rules
-I Sing for the Things

Encore:
-Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You [or maybe a faster song...like...Talk to Me...or...Imperial Hotel...something from RAL though...]
-Love Is

WchDvl...Great suggestion with Fireflies.
I really don't get why she never even recorded that song, and they just dropped it after the Tusk tour. its such a great song.

OMG Christine..

LOL.. If she did all of these songs, I think all of us would try to do at least 3 or 4 of her shows, verses one.. Could you imagine her doing these? It would be like a dream come true... I'd give ANYTHING to hear her sing Angel, and Crystal, and Blue Lamp.. She could even throw in Sisters of the Moon as well, as it really wouldn't upset me in the least.. LOL

However unlikely, I present you the setlist of my dreams!

2. Nightbird
3. Crystal
4. Sorcerer
5. Destiny Rules
6. Smile At You
7. Running Through the Garden

11.Kind of Woman
12.Gypsy
13. Sisters of the Moon
14. Outside the Rain

Finally, I must admit.. I am just happy that Stevie's still touring. And I am still holding out for a Fleetwood Mac reunion.

I must say I love alot of the set lists here....these are much more inspiring than what we'll hear at the concert this yr. Sad but true. I deeply saddens me that Stevie doesn't really appear to 'love' her own songs the way we do...thats why we want a total set list change up. Her attitude to her own songs and music really makes me sad and down. As much of a die-hard fan I am....seriously, I think this might be my last solo Stevie concert. I can't really justify spending tons of $$ when the artist herself doesn't appear to love her own songs and music.(Because she sings the same songs /setlist that is) Theres alot of her own songs she will not ever sing again--how very sad!! It boggles my mind when Stevie said at the end of last yrs concert to support the music industry but yet other than CV (which isn't a new CD)...she herself has put nothing much out for her own fans to purchase. She herself doesn't 'love' the music industry....or she would do all she could to release more music. I think Stevie maybe should get a gig in LV or something that way she doesn't have to please her fans only the casual ones. Sadly , that is really all that matters to her now. Sorry to be a downer and all. I do love Stevies music but its sad cause I'm not so sure she loves it herself anymore. Thats why she has selected for herself only the same set of songs to sing over & over again. As a music artist thats very sad...if I was one that would totally kill me.....I just couldn't do the same songs over & over again....without some changes.....IMO that is ....no offence anyone.....just my thoughts.....or am I the only one???
