Default 25 Unlikely Fleetwood Mac-related events for 2008

Some of these are just goofy, and others are vaguely legitimate pipe dreams.

1. Joe Walsh and Carol Ann Harris added to current lineup in desperate attempt to add emotional tension.
2. Night of A Thousand Heterosexual Male Stevie Fans held in San Francisco.
3. Lindsey releases 14-disc "bathroom recordings" demo anthology, instead of an actual finished studio album.
4. Christine forms MacVied Mac, a one-woman band traveling the English countryside.
5. Dave Walker announces stadium tour! Woooooooooh!
6. Lindsey and Stevie come to terms with their horrific breakup that occurred during the Ford administration.
7. Lindsey finally finds the finger pick he'd lost 33 years ago between sofa cushions, exclaims "Ha-ha! Found you ya little bastard!" and uses it from then on.
8. DNA from all 16 present and former Mac members combined to create unstoppable robot MacDaddy.
9. Stevie, so amazed at her ability to hit high notes again, insists on recreating the Monolith's signal to Jupiter in 2001: A Space Odyssey for duration of entire concert.
10. Stevie performs something besides Landslide and Stand Back for televised performance.
11. Brett Tuggle, Mick, Lindsey, Waddy Watchel, and Danny Kirwan join forces to create an epic progressive blues jam album.
12. Lindsey performs something besides GYOW for televised performance (serious note: I think he's contractually obligated to perform this. I mean, if they want him to do a "rock" song, how about IKINW or Doing What I Can? The latter kicks ass)
13. Remaining 14 studio albums remastered with bonus discs with previously unheard material.
14. Reunited Fleetwood Mac performs concert with USC Trojans accompanying every song.
15. Disc jockeys become required to describe Santana's Black Magic Woman as a FM cover - failure to do so results in a heavy fine.
16. Mick gets into fight with John, and then attempts to strangle him on the roof of a car.
17. Lindsey's faith in cycles is reinforced faith in cycles is reinforced his faith in cycles is reinforced.
18. Stevie counts down her 10 favorite episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation on UPN.
19. The vital contributions of Mullet and Stripeshirt to the band finally recognized by music critics the world over.
20. Bob Welch writes unbiased, readable account of his period with the band.
21. Bob Weston comes back, and gets to boff Mick's wife without repercussions this time.
22. Neal Preston finally releases his glossy hardcover Fleetwood Mac coffee-table book with never-before-seen photographs.
23. Greenies find joy in simple pop music, Chiffonheads find joy in life, Sugardaddies find joy in cheap wine, and Bucketeers find joy in all three.
24. Mick donates his millions to Diabetes research (plllllleeease?)
25. SortaSavageLike phones it in for second year in a row, making himself look like total ass while attempting to look causticly irreverent. Oh wait.

That song didn't do much for me on the album. I heard it live at a different tempo and I was amazed.

After the UTS tour, I do foresee Lindsey using the pick even more onstage.

Now who here hasn't had THAT argument with a friend who refused to accept that BMW was a Mac song first.

Oh my god. So many times.

Once with my mom who I actually made her take out the CD she has it on to see that it was a Peter Green compilation.

And then once with my friend at school, I was looking through his iPod, and he had the BMW form Santana, and I was like 'youre fcking kidding me right?' and he seemed embaressed. This was much funnier than the mom argument.

I once had to explain to my nephew that Dreams was a Fleetwood Mac song and not an original Corrs recording! And I've lost count of the times I've had to explain that Songbird was not written by Eva Cassidy.
