I campfollowed this one in California. Mick showed up at a lot of the shows playing congas with Bobbye. Joking around, Stevie introduced Rick, her drummer, as the 2nd best drummer in the world (because Mick was always standing right there). I liked the previous tour better, but this one was excellent too. The band was not cleanly mixed on some nights, & it was sometimes hard to hear Stevie above the near-industrial din. This was the last year I campfollowed Fleetwood shows. I think I was burning out.
Here's a cool photo someone (not me) is selling on eBay:

This was my first tour. I feel like I've posted about this in so many threads, though.

Anyway, we wrote "Stevie or Bust" on the back window o my camaro (in lipstick) and made our way to Jones Beach. I was 17 and in my Stevie glory. We had crapola seats and knew nothing about the Edge rush. When we saw what was happening, we vowed to be up there one day (and we did, 20 years later on the Gold Dust tour).

She went backstage between every song for many minutes and even during instrumental parts.

When she did HAEWAFY for the encore, she gave a lovely speech about how much she wished she could sit down with us individually and hang out and talk. And that she loved us all very, very much. I was sobbing.

All in all, I thought she was incredible, and that tour made me the Stevie freak that I am today. I've been to every tour since then (except for Vegas and this most recent one).

Saw this show at Red Rocks... which later became the DVD. Tickets were $8.50 (still have the stub), and it was great.

I went with my sister and 2 of her friends, and we had "good joints" and "bad joints" to smoke. I was only 16 at the time, so I really couldn't tell the difference.

We rushed the stage, and had great seats throughout the show...
Mick was there, Frampton was there, and the dove never left her hand!!!

This was the first time I saw Stevie live. It was at Darien Lake Amphitheater near Rochester, NY. The sound system SUCKED! All I really remember: her talking in tongues every chance she got; loooong song intros by the band while she was offstage; rushing the stage for EO17; there was a big barrier up, so she couldn't get to us, but she did the walk while indicating that she couldn't get to us and wished she could; an amazing HAWAFY closer.

My first one was Rock a little at Jones beach.
I don't remember it much, but I had a great time. Had great seat,
bought them at A & S store.(Clothing store). Ran up front
for Edge, Stevie did say some sweet things at the end.
18 concerts later still going last one Cyrstal vision-jones beach.

Hartford (early in the tour. Late april, early may?) - Gold Dust Woman blew me away. Can't remember much other than that. Lot's o' shawls.

Worcester (first of two nights. End of May?) - Band was really great (although they were loud and played all over each other). Stevie was excellent. The tour hadn't quite taken it's toll. Both the Globe and the Herald gave her good reviews.

Mansfield (End of July?) - She was in good spirits, but the road had taken its toll. She sounded VERY tired. On I can't wait, the "how do I love you"s were sung the OCTAVE down (so they were essentially spoken). And, I would love it if anyone had a picture of this, her eyemakeup was out of CONTROL. I can't explain to you folks how out of control it was..it was huge, it was blue, it was brown...it looked crazy. I do remember her saying that the rain was following her around on this tour "like the plague", which is a funny way to phrase it.

This was my first concert ever and i was very excited but a bit dissapointed. She alternatly " spoke " then "yelled" most every song. When she did attempt to sing she sounded very tired and hoarse.

She looked great though with her top coat on and top hat. People threw alot of stuff on stage and one fan gave her a lette that was in a sealed envelope and on it said for stevie's eyes only which she read out load and laughed.

I still have my tour book which I love. So many great photos and getting this pre internet days was a real treat indeed as it was so hard at the time to get pictures or know which magazines and at what times had interview/photos.

I did not see her again until the enchanted tour. But I have seen every tour solo and mac since. The best has been Dance and this current tour. And both Vegas stints were pretty awesome.

Yes,
when I went to see her again that year at madison square garden,
her make up was dripping down her face. I had first seen her in June,
then in I think it was August or Sept, and she had gained weight,
she was talking about dying which the audience started to boo her, and
she appologized for that comment(no one wanted to hear about stevie
dying). She was tired, stoned....very different from the beginning of
her tour...My friend and I were so depressed seeing her like that.
We the audience still loved the show, because we all still loved her.
Also a girl jumb onto the stage from the side seats, Stevie just glance
not really knowing what was going on.

But yes I remember the make up....Oh my gosh...

That was always one of my absolute favorite concert bootlegs, the Garden show in August (Aug. 5 I think?). I used to listen to that tape working out on the bike. I thought she was powerful that gig, along with Los Angeles in July & Jones Beach in June.

Yes, Stevie had that kohl thing going on that year. Huge shadows around the eyes. Made her look like a Nefertiti on a pyramid tomb. I thought she looked bitchin.
