Default WH tour concert film question?

I was just watching all the clips on youtube of this tour and am wondering if anyone knows why the concert was never released on video? It was shot by a prof production company so there must have been plans to release it. Was Stevie not happy with the end result?

there are so many reasons as to why a pro filmed concert never gets released. on the same note, there's a lot of reasons as to why lotsa stuff (movies, records etc) never gets released. personally, if you're referring to the largo 83 stuff, i don't consider it to be stevie's best. it's not bad but she may not have been happy with it.

another thing too...notice how many concerts were shot at Largo? this is why i don't think it was ever stevie or fleetwood mac's intention to ever release any of the stuff from Largo, MD. i recall learning some time ago that the venue videotaped all the shows that came through that area for several years.

lastly, in 1983, we were still fresh off of the white wing dove HBO concert (was shown in early 1982) as well as the FM Mirage concert (shown in early 1983). to me, it wouldn't make sense to release another concert when your previous stuff was already saturating the tv stations.

Thanks Joe. All you say makes sense. I agree it is not her best. I do like the BATB performance though.

you're welcome. i actually do appreciate that we have this concert. it's the only "wild heart" concert we have, aside from the US Festival, which I don't consider in the same realm because it was pretty much the Bella Donna show with Stand Back and Gypsy added. It wasn't part of the regular tour.

I do recall a bootleg years ago from the tour from Ohio somewhere. It wasn't great quality and I think was taped by someone in the audience. I've often wondered where this tape is and why it hasn't shown up on the web. Anyone see it or know its whereabouts?
