Default Tiger Woods

I just want to say a few words about this amazing athlete and person. I mean, talk about a guy who has it all going for him. The dude is incredibly well spoken, doesnt do steroids or any other bs like that, seems like he'el be a great father. I dont idolize too many people, but he's pretty close to that for me.

I dont like golf, and I certainly dont like watching golf, but one saturday afternoon, I found myself actually watching a PGA master's tournament and Tiger won that day. I was actually engrossed, in spite of myself! It's athletes like him that make watching sports worthwhile

One of the other things I like about him is he doesn't ALWAYS win. Like at this years U.S Open and a few other majors. I know hes not letting the other competitors win, but it's nice to see he's not a TOTAL machine.

I disliked him from the point when he played in one of the major tournaments in Tulsa years back at Southern Hills Country Club, and tried to woo people with his celebrity, example:

Tiger Woods attempted to enter a nightclub in Tulsa without any photo ID, so he mentioned to the bouncer at the door "I'm Tiger Woods" - to which the bouncer replied "I dont care if you are the Lion King, no ID/no entry".

The next day he whined on national TV about the incident, and used that, along with the Oklahoma summer winds as his excuse for his poor play...Boo-frikkedy-hoo there cry baby, Oklahoma has more windy days than any other state (For the record, OKC has more windy days than Chicago - go look it up, that is factual) so suck it up and STFU.

I'm the same way. I don't know why though. Kind of the same reason why I can't stand Jeff Gordon.

Didn't know you liked NASCAR. I love it. I can pretty much root for everyone minus those idiots (JG AND JJ)

He doesn't do much for me. I heard that he possibly IS on steroids ... it was a really hot day and his headlights were on high beam all day long ... a side effect of steroids. Heard it on a radio show, that's all.

I'm with Brian in that I have very little respect for him as a person.

When the debate was raging about women being allowed to be members at Augusta, when he was champion, he just refused to support them - sitting on the fence - the most influential player on the circuit! I also don't think he does enough to encourage working class and minority groups into what is a white middle class sport.

I contrast his behaviour with the Williams sisters and their father in the Tennis game. I admire the way they take no crap and try hard to make the game more inclusive.

Well, I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one here who doesn't really care for TW.
