Default Why the short set list??

In a local paper, there was an article about Stevie. In the article she said she is having a blast on this tour however having someone like Chris Isaak on the tour meant she had to do a shorter set list so the two could get their shows in. She said many places have an 11pm curfew and if you're not done and off stage they will pull your power. She said so she had to shorten her set list which is the only thing she wasn't happy about on this tour.
It makes sense, also once she got the set shortened it would only piss off people if at the places she had the time if she added to it. You know you would be pissed if you found out the next night she added three songs that you didn't get to hear. So don't blame Stevie for the short set, blame Chris Isaak!!! LOL!!

Yea Chris's set was too long, Vannessa's was just right.yea I heard about the 11pm cerfew. I dont know if it's a entertainment Union thing, or a city noise ordinance law.

She always has short set lists for her solo tours~ I remember back in 1986 she had like 13 songs too~ I just think its hard for her to maintain good energy with much longer sets on her own ~ despite what she says about Chris~ besides, there was no opener at Verona and she didn't add any songs at all~ plus if you're only given 90 mins. at the venue you better give yourself time to talk and change and touch your fans hands!!!!
Fleetwood Mac has always been longer but she gets a break from singing a straight 90 mins!

It's funny because the Chris Isaak message boards got all over Stevie for complaining that it was his fault. I'm actually on their side. If Stevie wants her set to be longer, she can make it happen, especially now that he is no longer on the tour. Vanessa Carlton's set is much shorter, so she can easily add a song or two (like Whole Lotta Trouble, for example, which has been rehearsed). But she chooses not to. She likes her comfort sets. That's not a "complaint" just an observation.

Why not just start the show an hour or so earlier at the venues that have curfews? Ta.da.

...and the show at Mohegan started at 8:35 and was over by 10:20...she had plenty of time to do a few more songs...I would've loved to hear "Think About It' from BD...that has always been my favorite!

i was thinking that maybe she shouldn't have an opening act and then she could add a few more songs to her set. what does everyone else think about that?

I'm not blaming Chris Isaak. He put on a great show and helped lower my overall disappointment with Stevie's boring setlist.

Yeah, but this is just to a point where its ridiculous. Yeah new clothes and her voice is stronger....woo, its the same songs. Im sorry, but the most excitement from that show came in the first 15 minutes of her set...Stand Back and If Anyone Falls.

Am I the only one who wasn't disappointed with the set list? I would have loved to see Fall From Grace...call me old but I grew up listening to the older stuff and as much I love the new stuff...I don't mind the comfort set list.
