I'm thrilled. I think this year's line up is awesome!! To quote my buddy Mike, "it's gonna be a hot weekend in Austin!" No ****!

RBS MUST SEES:

Amy Winehouse (Incredible)
Arcade Fire (I'm in love with NEON BIBLE)
Yo La Tengo (Awesome)
The Killers
Midlake (They remind me SOOO much of old Fleetwood Mac)
My Morning Jacket
Joss Stone (HOT!)
Wilco
The Decemberists
Indigo Girls
Peter Yorn (I want him, badly)
Blonde Redhead
The White Stripes
Bob Dylan

I made my reservations at the Radisson...close enough to Zilker, downtown for the after shows and just down the street from Chain Drive.

Here's a cool playlist site one of the ACL msg board people put together - I've been listening to it all day:

[Gypsy-Rhiannon]

I am so going to have to come and visit you one of these days!

[Livia]

I'm definitely spoiled, being such a music fan and living in Austin. Here's what I'm doing tonight - the rumoured special guests - Bonnie Raitt ('cause she's gonna be at the free concert here next Sunday, she's not touring now, and a lot of these other guys have toured or recorded w/ her). Other possibilities, Double Trouble (Stevie Ray Vaughan's rhythm section), who the heck knows?? BTW, Mark Andes (Stevie Nicks' former bass player) now plays with Ian McLagan.
