What the heck??!!!!
We had it all from an Andorran Blink 182...to Charles Dickens pall bearers..a man dressed as a woman and a woman dressed as a man to the Croation version of the Rolling Stones (featuring Shakira) and a 1970's version of Mika. They still didn't get it right!!!! Morticia Adams, Zena Princess Warrior and the pall bearers all got through..what on Earth is that all about.?? Wer'e not even going to bother looking now..it'll have to carry on without us this year ![]() Hope the Greek guy wins (at least he was kinda cute) BTW..we were going with the Blink (they were fun)

I'm looking forward to the finale this Saturday, but mainly because I love making fun of all the performers.

I'm more embarrassed about the Finnish cliches and everyday life they're showing to everyone, instead of any of the performances.
![]() Gonna have fun on Saturday watching the final though: it's still as campy as hell even though there's more acts trying to RAWK OUT this year.

The two guys in the canoe...and that lady doing stuff with her feet (or was that an advert?) Enjoy Saturday then, it's always good for a laugh to be honest (we might bow to pressure if there's nothing else on!)

Anyone else watching this?? The UK is doing as crap as I thought they would! I really liked the entry by Finland. She reminded me of Amy Lee

I was rooting for Hungary, but I'm glad that Serbia won in the end, anything was better than Ukraine. I mean, WTF was that??
Either way, the Eurovision song contest has become such a joke. |

Well..we did watch it in the end
Such is the lure of watching a totally silly programme! Fancy that woman dressed as a man winning. It amazes me how we all sit there and watch it year after year and yet the whole thing in the voting is a foregone conclusion...countries vote for THEIR NEIGHBOURS not for the songs!! mind you, if your'e English, would you vote for the French...I don't think so!!At least some countries didn't go down that route.Yes, it's a bit like watching the England football squad in a major tourny, every time, you hope they can come up with a different scenario, but alas no the conclusion is the same..Rubbish. Even poor old Terry Wogan sounded miffed last night at who was voting for who.. (he can only be in it for the money..) I've come to the conclusion that the only way to stomach watching this legendary programme is to be sitting in a bar (on a sunny foreign beach preferably) drinking a large jug of alcoholic somethingorrather and slowly wiling the evening away.....ahhh bliss.

I'm still not familiar with the EuroVision contest, all I know is the Finnish metal band Lordi won the song contest in 2006 with the song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" - and celebrated their win by playing the Market Square (Which is included along with footage of EuroVision on the bonus DVD in their US debut album "The Arockalypse")
---------------------------------- "Mr. Lordi was born and grew up in Rovaniemi, north of Finland. However, he founded the band when he was studying in Tornio. Lordi won the Eurovision song contest 2006 in Athens (Greece) with the song ``Hard Rock Hallelujah.`` After the Eurovision contest, a central square in Rovaniemi will be called Lordi Square. Shortly after winning the Eurovision Song Contest, Lordi held a concert at Market Square in Helsinki, where 90,000 Fins helped Lordi celebrate their victory by singing along on the song ``Hard Rock Hallelujah``. This earned them the world record for largest sing-a-long. "

Most assume Evanescence influenced the Finnish Gothic-metal sound when it is the other way around. |
