Default Northhampton, MA 3-30-07

Well, it was a pretty awesome show.

We got to Northhampton (which is in the middle of butt ****ing nowhere) at about 7, snagged something to eat and headed to the theater. It was such an eerie town. Very lovely, but everyone was walking everywhere. It was like Tokyo on acid. So strange.

The venue was BEAUTIFUL. So much nicer than the Orpheum (his last MA visit). I bought the "Go Your Own Way" T-Shirt with the tour dates for this leg on the back. I love the color (green ). We headed to our seats. My mom was in the 5th row and I in the 6th....all the way against the wall. :****face:. I was smushed in, but it was ok. It felt like forever for Lindsey to come on stage. We definitely waited for an hour until he came on at about 8:30.

Not Too Late: I love this song. I think its such a great opener. It really shows off Lindseys skills right off the bat and shows the audience where he is at this point in his life. Very beautifully done.

Trouble: He could drop this and I would be happy. Throw in Try For the Sun or something else. I like the guitar solo on this but thats about it.

Never Goin Back Again: This really got the crowd going. They even started clapping along. The crowd was really good and Lindsey even recognized it, saying how "peppy" we were. But no one would stand. Except a lady down the front who was decked out in Stevie gear. She stood for EVERY song. She had the best time. Lindsey even signed her poster at the end.

Second Hand News: How awesome is it when the drums start to kick in for this one? I got so excited. This is probably one of Lindseys best stage songs of all time.

Castaway Dreams: The Intro to this was probably about 5 minutes long. At one point some guy yelled out something really rude and it got me and Lindsey a little ticked off. I think it was something to the effect of "Let it go", ya know about the fight between him and his wife. Anyhoo, this was great. Really like this one live.

Red Rover: One of my favorite Lindsey live songs ever. The drun beat to this just goes right through you're whole body. Its amazing. I absolutely love this song and I hope he never drops it. Love the red strobe lights on this one.

It Was You: Fun little tune. The crowd liked it, aka the MAC fans. Lindsey was joking and talking a LOT during this point. At one point he said "I wish we could pack up this venue and this crowd and take you on tour with us." We were very supportive of him and the new album. Very few people left the venue the whole night to get drinks ect.

Big Love: The usual bolgna. Crowd loved it though.

Go Insane: He really got into it at the end. You could tell he was loving this place.

Under this Skin: He was really surprised at the reaction he got for this one. Said "thank you" ect. I personally love this song. Beautifully done.

World Turning: This just ROCKS. Great stage song. I thought people would stand for this one, but yet again I was wrong. The lady down front was up and dancing though!! Cool solo from the new drummer. Hes a cool guy!

I'm So Afraid: The solo for this was just unbelieveable. I don't even really like this song, but tonight it was just incredible. It sounded like a tusk era guitar solo. AMAZING. At this point I went nuts. The people behind me must have been getting to mad because I was bopping and singing all night.

I Know I'm Not Wrong: This one has really improved since the first time I saw it. Totally rocks. I tried to get everyone to stand up, but it didn't work LOL. Loved this live.

Tusk: Well......Last time, this was the song that got everyone on their feet and I thought it would be the same this time....I was wrong. Everyone just sat there. ALL OLD FARTS. They yelled, but did not move. I felt so out of place.

Go Your Own Way: Well this did it. My whole section was on their feet and it totally rocked. For this one, my mom booked it down to the stage. When my people deicded to finally move the security guard stopped me! GRRRRR! Anyway this rocked and I continued to sing and dance from my seat LOL.

Holiday Road: One of my favs. Everyone knew this one. But only 20% of the audience stood up. You should have seen the look this lady was giving him when he started barking LOL.

Turn it On: BEST SONG EVAR. I made a complete ass of myself on this one just because its my favorite song. The guy next to me gave me the weirdest look.

Band Intros went on and on forever. Two blonds got attention because of their "I love Lindsey shirts". Brett made a little speech about Lindsey, which he totally wasn't expecting.

Show You How: Ehhhhh. Its catchy, but very anti climactic.

Shut us Down: Amazingness.

Overall it was 100% better than the show last year. Had such a great time!

No Down On Rodeo? He played it during the Boston Orpheum show last year... I hope he plays it for the Hampton Beach show tonight.
