I guess this kinda belongs on the Pre-Rumours board, but it's such a tiny Mac mention and I figured more folks would see it here. This is from a Dallas newspaper, so check your local listings!
Friday, March 9, 2007 Rolling Stones Rock & Roll Circus to air on KERA 13 By Pegasus News wire According to a note sent from Bill Young, the Vice President of Television Programming at KERA Channel 13, there's a great "rockumentary" airing March 10 at 8:30 p.m. called The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus: The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus was recorded in December 1968 by the BBC, but never broadcast. It's a great time capsule of the times (1968-69) with vintage performances by the Stones, Jethro Tull, The Who, Marianne Faithful, Taj Mahal, and Dirty Mac. Dirty Mac was actually a band pieced together to poke fun at Fleetwood Mac made up of John Lennon, Mitch Mitchell (from the Jimi Hendrix Experience), Eric Clapton, and Keith Richards. Overall, not a bad band to just "piece together." The show was recorded over a two day period on December 11-12, 1968 with the finale recorded at 6:00am. It was also Brian Jones' last performance with the Stones. Cream had just broken up, so it's a Clapton performance that is between the end of Cream and the beginning of Blind Faith. If you miss the airing this Saturday, you have three more chances to catch the show: Monday, March 12 at 9:30 p.m., Friday, March 16 at 12 a.m., and Saturday, March 17 at 11:00 p.m. Source: KERA Channel 13 |

I saw this a while back. It's good fun and very interesting
Pre-Rumours types would definitely get something from it if they've not already seen it |

That's for the trivia, Liv, I had no idea!
I happened to catch this on PBS last night, and it was quite funny in a lot of ways, but definitely a snapshot in time. About as girly as I've seen Mick Jagger look! So funny to see the band (Dirty Mac) looking very...confused...by Yoko's howling, only to see John kinda lean forward like, "she's wit me, fellas." Is this a new release or something or is it just so PBS that they're airing something released almost 3 years ago? ![]()
