Default Aerosmith Rocks Mohegan Sun

Words cannot describe how incredibly good the Aerosmith concert was last night. I am just still in shock how Tyler just takes 15 songs and really puts his best in to them, making everyone not care how short it was. I feel like driving to Detroit to see them tomorrow but I can't.

Let me just say that I think Mohegan Sun is one of the nicest, most beautiful casinos I've ever been to(besides Wynn). I know Ricky wasn't too fond of the artwork but I was. It's just so beautiful! I went to a restaurant called Fledelia's and it was circular shaped and had a dome with this illusion of the wind in the center of it. I also think that the Arena is probably one of the best places to see a show. I thought that it was really nice, security was great,staff-excellent, people, seats were comfy, and sound wasn't that bad. I reallythink Stevie should play here next year.

(Note before show review: Aerosmith's merch for this tour was the best I've seen for any other artist's. Shirts were great, cool keychains, posters...just really nice. Also I took a few pics but I'm not too great at taking pics and I was rockin' out a lot so...)

The stage was just huge! The main-stage had two catwalks on the side and a long ramp going into the adience(just like Madonna's 2006 Tour catwalk, just bigger). It was also covered with racecar tires and nascar flags for the filming of Back In the Saddle for a upcoming AeroNascar commercial.

Aerosmith has a big curtain that covers the stade. Lights went down at about 9:15, and the intro went on the curtain. It was a car starting showing images of the boy and went into a fast montage with a Dream On and Walk This Way remix(not the Run D.M.C. one) and then went into the line Going Down from Love In An Elevator and showed the Route Of All Evil Tour Logo and the curtain went down and you could hear Joey Kramer banging the drums for the opener: Toys In the Attic. Awesome way to kick off the night. Steven was in a white racesuit with his trademark microphone with Joe Perry singing in to it on a higher level of the stage. Steven did a continuous La Nicks twirl while Joe rocked the ramp.

Toys went straight into Walkin' the Dog just like Outside the Rain goes right into Dreams Steven ran to the end of the ramp held a waterbottle down to his pelvis and squeezed it all over the crowd. The makeup crew came out putting blush on Steven and he said, "If you wanna know why I'm putting make up on, I'm in a Nascar video and you're f****in' in it!" Perry started the riff to Back In the Saddle and Tom Hamilton came out and they even changed the words a bit. Instead of, "I'm riding in my saddle, it was I'm riding in my Nascar " I thought It was pretty cool.

Eat the Rich was pretty good. Tyler was big with the bump bump, bump bump. On the screen there were lions eating their prey and sharks jumping out of the water chompin'. Cryin' got the crow wild. You haven't heard this song till you've heard it live, it's so much better. Steven walked up the side catwalk hanging over the railing holding some girl...lucky B****h

Steven starts singing a capella, "There goes my old girlfriend, there's another diamond ring...then he let the crowd finish, then the band kicked into," Tell me what it takes to let you go..." Friggin awesome! We got a little cool and bluesy with Baby Please Don't Go, which is like a jam live. Tyler was bent down on the ramp and put the microphone by his...you know what and when the bump, bump bumps came...you get the idea Joe took the lead for one song and did Mac's Stop Messin' Round. I have to say Perry's a pretty good singer....but I still think he should stick with the guitar

Steven and Joe have at seat at the end of the ramp and do a snippett of Hangman Jury(I wished they would have played the whole song(Steven also said to a girl in front of him,"OOh, you snuck a camera in, you bad girl, you're in big trouble "then went
right into Seasons of Wither, which was probably my favorite song of the night. Steven was awesome when he screamed, "Take the wind right out of your SAIL!" Dream On was next. What can i say, it's one of the greatest rock and roll songs of all time...great. Steven says,"You wanna hear some new Aerosmith?!" Steving sings,"Sweet Suzie Q, She'll buzz a rebel..." Devils Got A New Disguise...def. one of my favorites! Awesome live.

My other favorite song of the night, Livin' On the Edge. There was a moment during the song where it just paused and Steven was just bowing down with clouds int he background and Joey went into the bump bump bump...WE'RE LIVIN' ON THE EDGE!!! Sweet E was next and was just f****in' great! Joe was playing some kind of slider and they had this green razorlight around him that made it look like he was spinning. AWESOME! Draw the Line was another jam. Pery took off his shirt and was just slamming it on the ramp and Steven was screaming...it was nuts! Boys went off stage and they had this video on of the devil driving in the desert with the radio on listeing to all Aero songs and the boys were chasing after him on motorcyclesand like laserbeamed his car to Eat the Rich It was cool.

Joey started the drums to Walk This Way and then Steven walked down the ramp and Joe started the riff. Steven pulled some girl off the floor and dragged her onstage. She tried to run to hug Steven but security took her backstage After WTW, There were the intros and Steven intoduced joe as,"Joe Rockin F***in' Perry! and Joe introduced Steven as,"The screamin' demon, Steven Tyler!" All offstage and they just showed a waving American flag on the background until everybody left.

I'm telling you guys, do not miss the on this tour. They have gotten the best reviews for this tour. They are playing every show like it's their last. Rock On Aerosmith!

I also got a setlist so here it is:
TOYS
WALKIN' THE DOG
SADDLE
EAT THE RICH
CRYIN'
WHAT IT TAKES
BABY PLEASE
STOP MESSIN'
SEASONS

Glad you enjoyed the show...Wished the setlist was less 90's era 'Smith and more 70's era

Sounds like an awesome show! I'm glad you liked Mohegan, finally some nice things about it! It better be nice as hell, since I'm headed there tomorrow night for The Who (hopefully).

The bad boys from Boston always put on a hell of a show. Love that band.
Thanks for your recap...

Sounds like a great show, though I'm a bit disappointed to see what a short set it was. Still, I'm really looking forward to seeing them. I bought a pair of Tix for their Sacramento show on 12/17 as an early Xmas present for my best friend.

I was considering buying a ticket for their Sac show too but it seems like they're only going to do the short set list. They still will do a kick ass show but I did just see them with the Crue a few weeks ago and I really wanted to see a full 2 hour show.
