anyone else completely in love with this album? i got it when it was first released, and every time i hear it, i fall more and more in love with it. mark and emmylou's voices are amazing, and it's as if they were meant to sing together. i wish stevie, with her gift for singing duets, would do a collaborative album like this: mellow, beautiful, and with a country flavor. here is a video of mark & emmylou singing "donkey town" in brussels:

You know I love this album - but yes, I had an idea that Stevie and Tom Petty should do a colaborative album like this, and nobody seemed to like the idea

i knew if anyone would reply, it'd be you! i think a stevie/petty album would be brill - they work so well together, and i think their voices go together very well. i think it'd be great if they worked with the heartbreakers ... sdmha is awesome and those gypsy demos she did with them are, too.

do you (or does anyone else) know if those recordings of "the dealer" from 2/17/81 were done with the heartbreakers?

also - if you haven't watched the other live videos of mark & emmylou at youtube, you should go do so pronto! they're so good.

i love and adore this album. so much that i started another thread about it about a month or so ago!

but i totally agree - their voices sound like gold together. i love "i dug up a diamond," "donkeytown," "rollin on" and the title track.
