Yeah there was that TV show the band did in Japan that played some soundstage film the band made for "Freedom" & "Stand on the Rock" & "Save Me" & I think some others. The whole band is just lip-syncing & instrument-syncing to the album tracks. It's fruitcake.

I'll look around for PC multimedia files of it.

I loved seeing "Freedom" - even though it was not really live, it was fun to see it on stage......

I think they did "In the Back of My Mind" also??

It's on veoh. The sound is crackly, so i didn't realise they were lip-synching.

Wow - thanks for posting that.

Interestingly,

1. She looks much better than she did in the Save Me video, when they showed her from the waist up only and she looked deadly white.

2. though she is thinner in this one, notice they never show her a$$ and she cleverly positions her body so she never shows it while swaying.

3. Though I am certain La Nicks had nothing to do with the editing of this, they never show CM up close and that is bad bad bad.

Exclamation I have that on DVD...

Fleetwood Mac-"Sound Gig" 1990 Japan

A 40 minute long interview with Fleetwood Mac from Japan 1990 which includes video clips of "Little Lies", "Save Me", "As Long As You Follow" along with live on stage lip-synched performences including "In The Back of Your Mind" and "Freedom" (Featuring the Behind the Mask era touring lineup of Fleetwood Mac). Both Christine & Stevie looks very good. There's a confusing Q&A included in this show. Finally it is funny watching the band members of Fleetwood Mac try to communicate with people who don't speak English, Stevie even seems somewhat agitated due to the language barrier. Great audio & video quality, Worth a watch just to laugh at Stevie's lip-sync job on "Freedom".

I give it an "A" for quality, Very interesting program.

The funniest lip-synching bit is actually Lindsey doing Oh Diane. Or, I should say, the funniest thing is Stevie doing her tambo thing in the background. She really, really had nothing else to do. John looks like he is ready to join the Bee Gees as a new Gibb brother.

That whole thing cracks me up every time I watch it. The only plus side is that Lindsey looks mighty hot.

I couldn't agree more.

though Liddy was unusually terretic that night.

as for the Freedom in Japan...I love Freedom so much I don't care that it wasn't exactly live. and I think Stevie looks FAB...and I love the little braids in her hair...her look really matched the song.

YESSSS!! I was just watching this again today, as a matter of fact. I think the funniest thing is Stevie lip-synching Christine's one line in the song "Diiiiaaane." We know you are lip-synching when you are doing it to Christine's parts of the song, Stevie!!!

Lindsey looks he just threw that shirt on with the collar all askew and everything.

I actually watched the Freedom video earlier today, too ... so this thread is just so timely for me!!
