Default Regina Spektor

I just discovered her. I heard about her a while ago but whenever I tried to download some music, I couldn't.

I found her on Myspace and listened to "Fidelity".....wow. I was blown away. I just got "Us" and "Samson"....totally gorgeous. I am running to get her new album ASAP.

Any other fans?

i discovered her on iTunes a short time ago (though, i can't remember how). "on the radio" may have been the free download of the week. anyway - i do love it - so quirky and unique. i will check out those other songs you mentioned, too.

by the way, are you an imogen heap or frou frou fan? imogen is my current obsession - she can do no wrong in my books. and regina is sort of kind of similar in her quirky uniqueness.

I have no idea what a Regina Spektor is, but wouldn't that be a GREAT name for a gynecologist?

I love her voice, and her odd songs! I have some mp3s gathered from music blogs, and I am planning to buy her new CD.

I know Frou Frou from the Garden State soundtrack. Are they good? That song was right up my alley.

Here are a few.
From BBC radio:
Chelsea Hotel (Leonard Cohen cover)

From XFM:
Prisoners

Live in Edinburgh:
Fidelity (this one sounds really different from the album cut)

frou frou IS imogen heap. it's a musical collaboration she did with a guy whose name escapes me. but if you like frou frou, you like imogen and vice versa. the song you heard, i believe, is "let go." i'd highly recommend you check out imogen's solo albums, "speak for yourself" and "i megaphone." oh, and the entire frou frou album, too. it's called "details."

i also, just today, discovered another artist - named kelsey chambers - through a podcast. if you like sort of "alt-country" singers like neko case or kathleen edwards, she's for you. check out the tracks "pony" and "follow you home."

I have heard of Kasey Chambers before actually...a couple of years ago. I made this compliation for a friend of woman artists and that opened the door for me to look and she was one I liked a lot
