Default Fourth of July

Ten years ago today, I was at the St Pete Pier waiting in the rain to see Stevie do a free show that evening. This was the first of her three "one-off" shows in 1996 staging her up for the big "The Dance" reunion tour the following year.

Thirty years ago today, the American bi-centennial - 1976, Fleetwood Mac played Tampa Stadium with the Eagles. I was too young to attend this one (only 10 at the time).

Eight years ago today (1998) Stevie played West Palm Beach at the Sound Advice Amphitheatre on the Enchanted tour with wildfires burning to our west. She helped raise donations at the concert for the fires. I went to the show with my friend Deana (who played tambo in the audience) and two of my ex-es (quite the strange outing). But it was a GREAT and DIFFERENT setlist which was much appreciated.

What is it about Stevie the 4th of July and Florida? Why isn't she here playing today, I could go for some live in person Stevie today! Maybe she'll make a surprise appearance at the fireworks show tonight! Ha-ha!

Happy 4th!
