I apologize, first, for being morbid...but I've been thinking and I am almost sure I want the following played at my funeral or whatever I have:
Sand - The Lovemongers (aka Heart) Goodbye My Friend - Linda Ronstadt (still up in the air due to cheese factor) Meet Me On the Moon - Phyllis Hyman Rhiannon...since it's my favorite song of all time..ever yours? |

Umm... seeing how I'll be dead when it happens, I don't really care.
Also... since (I'm hoping) the event is many years away, who knows what music I'll be into by then. This whole Fleetwood Mac thing could very well be a phase. Maybe I'll end up being a Britney Spears fan? Or Celine Dion? You never know, you never know. |

"It Wont Rain All the Time"-Jane Siberry
"Dreaming Neon Black"-Nevermore "Storms"-Fleetwood Mac "Cemetery Gates"-Pantera "Estranged"-Guns'N'Roses And since I have a sense of humor: "Ode to Tipper Gore"-Warrant (This would definitely have to be played if my funeral was to take place at a church) Last edited by estranged4life; 06-24-2006 at 12:32 AM.. |

I want Enya, Air and Moby to play. I just want easy listening mood music to put everyone in a mood...then I want everyone to get really drunk and toss my ashes in Europe somewhere.

My mother once told me she wants Memory (from Cats, by Babs) played. Is that the title? Anyway, even though my mom is still alive (thankfully), I get teary eyed when I hear that song. We played Sailing by Christopher Cross at my dad's funeral because it was his absolute favorite song. Now, *my* funeral? I don't know. Cheesy as it my sound, I've always had a soft spot for The Dance by (GASP) Garth Brooks.

Great Gig In The Sky - Pink Floyd
Voodoo Child - Jimi Hendrix There's A River - Steve Winwood High Hopes - Pink Floyd I'd want the wake/reception in a strip bar with champagne, cigars, a cold buffet, exotic dancers and sausage rolls. All funerals must have sausage rolls.. Somebody might as well have a good time. Its not like I'll be stuck will the invoice. |

Serious Songs:
"God's Garden" by Stevie "Songbird" by The Mac "You Gave Me A Mountain" by Elvis If I decided to get humorous, I'll play "Please Don't Bury Me" by John Prine

The three modern songs that I've seen played the most at funerals are:
Vince Gill - Go Rest High on That Mountain(I've heard this one at like 5 funerals) Garth Brooks - The Dance Lee Ann Womack (?) - I Hope You Dance(is that the title?) I'm with Tynan though, I like Return To Sender!

His guitar player, Jason Wilbur, is a buddy of mine. He's got some pretty tongue in cheek songs of his own, too.
