It's been all over the news since this morning. I assume nobody's mentioned it because none of us think that it will matter the least bit.

well, I, honestly, didn't even know who the hell he was. and I'm not embarassed to say it.

my radio station keeps playing the snippet of Bush saying this...and they play it over the beginning of really slow songs, I guess trying to get all emotional, but it's making me sick. I hate regular radio.

Oh well, this is the first I've heard of it. it would be nice maybe to think this will help decrease violence, but if enough people still haven't had their fill...(and you'd think nobody would want peace more than those stuck living in these places)

I keep reading of the threats coming from the different terrorist groups. I wonder why the media and the government (hahaha, i made it sound like they are two different things....silly me) made such a big deal about getting this one? did they not think al qaeda and the like would retalliate?

Funny how the killing of this person comes when support of the war in Iraq is the lowest it's ever been.

This is all such a good argument for E85 gas. I mean whoever heard of a terrorist corn farmer?

Exactly. I hate that I've become this cynical, but I am. It's all very convenient.

BTW - 2 bombs, 500 pounds each, were what killed him. Yet they were still able to ID him through fingerprints, dental records and facial recognition. Hmmmmm.....

I'm surprised they haven't just dressed some tall corpse up with a beard and turban and declared mission accomplished in Afghanistan as well. If the real guy appears to say he is alive they could either bomb/napalm that area to the nth degree as is their wont, or call the new guy an imposter. Then we can all 'go home' where we probably never should have had anything to do with interfering with these places in the first place.

Seriously! I'll believe that when someone proves to me that an airplane can take down a 110 story building.

this isn't the first time we've "killed" Zarqawi. We've killed him at least five or six times now but this is the first time with pictures.

I guess I'm just trying to not be cynical about it. Although it is hard.
