Default World Cup starts June 9th!

So it's time for that event that happens every four years to start up again. The usual suspect, Brazil, Argentina, and others will be favored I'm sure. The AMericans are going again, which is nice, but I will be rooting for the country which bore my grandmother and mom, Germany! I'm sure there's others that know much more about who's going to be there and the good players, so let's start the discussion!

Tuigirl, that tune is not good for morale; I'm not gonna suggest the obvious Mission Impossible.......but I'm sure the Thunderbirds theme would be more uplifting. Or my personal favorite: The theme from "the Persuaders" Very cool tune.

..the Escape tune, is actually inbuilt in a key ring, which they play, so unfortunately, I have no control over what comes over the loud speakers..haha..now if it were me..I'd have gentle "shopping" music played all day (like they do in France...at least they got one thing right)..the great escape is really annoying!!

Are you mad?

THE World Cup doesn't start until March 2007. In the West Indies, how lovely.

Australia v Pakistan for the final.

It should be Australia v South Africa, but they're in Australia's group based on 2005 world rankings, so they won't get through.

yeah,i believe in the usual suspects as well, but i hope some suprises will go far.

in last games ireland were wonderful, trying, fighting team, after they fell,i rooted for korea until i felt ref´s helped them bit too far.
i haven´t decided yet who i´m siding with,ivory coast?
hope spain will finally go far, after all this time and trying they´d deserve it!
