HAHHAA!!! Way to go, Nixxxed! I hope you teach him/her to type responses to our questions. What's his/her name? Tell us about him/her. What does him/her like to eat? how best to play? toys? etc.

His (her?) name is Zorro. I'm still waiting to find out if it should be Zora.

You're really not supposed to let birds play in dark, confined spaces like that because it triggers their nesting instincts which can be bad for female birds. But, I've had Z for 3 years, and no eggs yet, so I decided to allow him some leeway. I have more new pics - just waiting for them to upload. *insert modem noise here*

And - funny thing your asking - he was sitting on my shoulder earlier, and actually tried to fly down onto the keyboard. First time ever. He's actually trying to do a lot of things Rocky used to, since he never got the chance to before... I don't think he's heavy enough to actually type anything though. Probably just get random short bursts of letters when he lands. We'll see!

He likes to scratch his beak, then look at you and make the softest coo sound.

He likes to hide behind this toy, because he thinks you can't see him.

This is his fave toy - he likes to fling it against the side of the cage and make TONS of noise when he wants attention. (Which is frequently.)

And thanks - we're doing better after a rough month. He misses Rocky too - he still flies around looking for him. They used to play this weird game of tag/follow-the-leader sometimes, and maybe he thinks Rocky's just hiding somewhere. I'm still contemplating getting him a friend. I don't want him to be lonely when he's not out with me.

i can relate to the tagteam....oddly enuf shelly and my cat pepe (le pew) are in love...
need to capture the lovefest and will post
as for shell pics @ moment not on laptop
but tomorrow i shall (unless there are outright protests
as majority of peeps have seen her a bazillion times)
