Default Did you know that "Rhiannon" is the name of an asteroid?
There is an asteroid -- #16912 -- that is named Rhiannon!!

This asteroid is 1.79 astronomic units (AUs) from the sun. (An astronomical unit is the distance in miles from the Sun to the Earth = 93 million miles.)

It was discovered March 2, 1998. It's classified as a Mars-crosser asteroid; that is, its orbit crosses that of Mars.

I think we should start planning the party. I propose the following date for us all to be "taken by the sky": September 16, 2012 (from "Rhiannon's" classification number).
