Hiking Pics

A sunny day and my ownership of a digital cam finally collided fortuitously and I got some pics from my hike - I know, who cares?

They looked really big, so I resized them, but now some were a bit too small - and I left out some good ones that look crappy small, mainly shots of the bay.

Here are the stairs where my hike starts. I've ridden my bike up the hill until that point.

After I climb those stairs, there are three houses next to each other in a row that I absolutely love - they have weird little decks, and small ledges where window/doors open, and tiny cute pathways, and weird roofs, and stuff.

For those of you familiar with the area (?) here is the Claremont - I am on the trail about halfway up at this point

Here is a bay shot that looks better bigger - it was hazy over there yesterday, though.

The whole thing is pretty steep, but this is the monster, the giant hill right before the top:

Here's my favorite house on the hill on the valley on the other side - it's glass, and just perched on the steep hill...

Here's the view at the end of my hike, before I go back down the stairs to my bike.

cool. I've always wanted to live in a place like this that actually had some great scenery. And that house looks like what I've always wanted really...I can just imagine the inside.

I know, that house rocks. I mean, the whole part you can see is glass. Of course, in an earthquake...not so cool, probably. Especially as the hayward fault is pretty much right there. Still.

I just got my camera, so I don't know all the lighting settings and everything, hopefully I'll take better ones in the future.
Well, it depends on how far on the trail I want to go. Yesterday I went much farther than usual - from house back to my bike it was 2 hours, then about 10 minutes ride home. To get to the top of that big hill...probably about an hour, maybe a bit more, from my house. It takes me about fifteen minutes to ride up the hill, then about 10 minutes to the trailhead...yeah, probably an hour to the top. The trail goes on forever, though. Also, I do pause because it is so steep - but I see people jogging up that ****!

Gorgeous, amber. I know the area well. Was this over the weekend? It was a beaut, although we're back to crap rain.

Yeah, the weekend. I know, It will never stop raining. I've been hella pissed at the break in my weight loss/hiking plan.

I was seriously wondering because I like to hike in snow, it's really pretty. Course, I don't live in the snow, if I did I might feel differently I suppose. Old hat and all that.

You've gotta be kidding me. I literally never take pictures until right now. In my life I've taken pictures an average of once every 15 years.
I need to read the manual....

Paula has a nice pic I took in vegas with her camera where my finger is partially covering it.

well to me they look great...i mean whats to kid?

i believe ive seen that finger one when posted long ago...
of course my fav is your bummshot...but that was the webcams doing...
altho im sure you had to point it in that general direction...but prolly wasnt hard to miss
