Default and I hope to get to see her if we do London on the next tour

Well there are several threads about a possible next tour and... here's another one!!!

Have you read John's latest answers???

about Christine: She sounded very well and I hope to get to see her if we do London on the next tour
so that's a reliable source, and then there's a great possibility.

Obviously she'll be there. Why wouldn't she be? These people are her friends! It would make sense she'd go to see them. She wouldn't play, though if thats what you're getting at.

Ooooh you're confirming the tour. Ya. Its pretty well known they'll be touring next year.

yes, it would be nice to know, they might meet up again, in this part of the world, should they tour.
I'm not sure I'd actually go, because of the price.I do have a hard time justifying spending that much (last year it was £87 at Earls court) when you think other artists are not as expensive and are in a way different league. Your Knophlers,Claptons and Gilmours are cheaper (MFM help me out here please!).Surley if the Mac reduced their price, got more bums on seats, then they'd make more money anyway. I dunno, I'll have to think about it, if they come over again. Anyone else have any thoughts?

Fleetwood Mac cost £87 a ticket back in 2003 to see them at Earls Court in London. In the last couple of years I've seen a few shows and it varies a little. Mark Knopfler cost me £35 a ticket to be 2nd row at the Royal Albert Hall last year, £38 to see Jamiroquai. It cost me £40 to see Gorillaz, £40 to see Velvet Revolver,£45 to see Oasis and later this year I'll be seeing both Eric Clapton and David Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall at a cost of about £60 each.

I guess a "band" of high profile musicians costs more than seeing a single star backed by pro musicians. When you consider some groups such as Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and the Rolling Stones have multiple stars and prima donnas with their various demands and entourages it will push the cost up. The Stones have a reason. The show is massive, the set is massive, the venues are huge and require a lot of security and stuff but Mac and the Eagles I think are just greedy, they are arena bands these days, pension collectors not stadium rockers.

WOW MFM...all those shows, at all those great venues. Awesome. VERY jealous here! The last band I saw was "X," and then I had hoped to see Sinead O'Connor (I know....her values might be whack, but that voice....amazing) but that's about it for anythig desireable in the states that's not at an arena. Well in my area I should say.

As for the reunion, I have thought since SYW, when they were just wrapping things up, and already reporters were asking about the next venture. I say Chris will be there hands down! I'd like to say it's cause they are her friends, and how could she resist???? But I think the real answer is, "cast a reunion tour...again...maybe even make it an anniversary...and charge a mint." lol. As much as I agree, I am sure I'll be broke again mid 2007 having gone to quite a few.

Is there an icon for slamming ones head against a wall??? heeheee

I'd like to think you're right but I fear not.

In 2007 it'll be 10 years (give or take) since she last performed on stage. I honestly dont think she could face it now. I do hope I'm wrong.

I'm sure she'll see them like in 2003 but on stage I doubt it (sigh)

I'm sure she's probably worried as much about her voice holding up live at her age as anything.

I think her voice would hold up-- but maybe not her legs LOL as she'd probably just be so nervous.

I don't mean to say nececarily that I think she couldnt do it, it's just that she is going to be 64 next year. But you know what, if she could do it, I say more power to her.

I agree. Her voice was certainly fantastic 2 years ago. When she did her ITM interviews, she did semi-joke about it being so long since she'd been on stage that she'd probably have a heart attack if she were to go onstage again. John said in his recent Q & A that she never felt comfortable on stage. I think she used to drink before concerts to cope with nerves. She stopped drinking 5 years ago. She'll never perform live again.

But if she DID perform live just one more time...

Who wants to bet that she STARTS drinking again.
