Default Album Cover Out Takes/Alternatives

Hello all,

Does anyone have any alternative album covers or out takes for any of Stevie'salbums? I remember seeing one from TISL, but can't find it on The Ledge!

Thanks

I second this motion. There was a thread on the Rumours board a while back for the Mac ones, there were a few of Mirage but not much else to be honest...

Cough 'em up, guys.

And welcome to the board!!

the only ones I know of are the Mirage outtakes and the one from TISL, that ended up being used on the Sorcerer trade ad.

Isn't the back of Enchanted a RAL outtake? I've always heard that her initial idea for the cover was "rocking from the cradle to the grave" (or something along those lines...). Hence the rocking cradle & rocking chair. I've seen some photos of her standing amongst those props in a fringed black cape, but never saved them.

I'd LOVE to see some WH outtakes.

I think you may be right.

As far as WH goes, I'm there with you. I LOVE that cover.

I have been told that this was initially considered as the cover for Street Angel, though I have no evidence to back up this claim.

It would have made an excellent album cover!

Yes, I like that. It would have made a charismatic album cover for Street Angel. It looks like something out of Beardsley or Burne-Jones, but hippie-rockified.

You know, I have a bad habit of letting album art influence the way I hear an album, and I may have given Street Angel more of a chance if this had been the cover. I'm sorry, as much as I adore Stevie and her music, I hated that flat pink thing they used for Street Angel. I thought she didn't look very good on it and I don't like pink to begin with but I really didn't like the shade they used (plus, pink for Stevie Nicks? It just seemed wrong).

I agree... this alt one is much more striking.

I'm not sure whether I like that alt picture as a cover for SA, but the actual cover is terrible. We've got Stevie cowering on a muted pink background? And that picture of her looking over her shoulder? Yuck.

The cover of SA seemed like an admission of defeat before it even made it to the record stores. The images just say "I used to be Stevie Nicks, now I'm just some over the hill frightened woman"

Having said that, I do love the album but that cover was a mistake.
