So firstly don't get too excited(or too angry) these have been recordeed on a mobile phone(cell phone) and are not great quality but still fun to listen to. I was sitting in the middle of the arena about 20 rows back. I really enjoyed the concert and was pleasantly surprised with Vanessa Carlton, she was smart and funny, she was playing a new song a made a mistake halfway through which no one would have noticed but she just yelled out "****" and apologised then continued, the whole audience burst into laughter. She also kissed alot of butt saying how great stevie is and how we will enjoy it. duh!
But onto Stevie she was awesome. To see Stevie walk out in the top hat was spine tingling to me as I had resigned myself to not seeing that during my life(just like I resigned myself to no ever seeing Fleetwood Mac live, but that happened 3 times in 2004). My favourite songs where Sorcerer, just because it is one of my alltime favourites although I like the 70's demo best though. Beautiful Child and Landslide where really good with the Orchestra. Rhiannon,Stand Back and Edge of Seventeen where always going to be great and they were, my highligh though was Beauty and the Beast, it was just awesome with the full orchestra and Stevies voice just seemed so strong. The whole concert was over too soon and now almost seams like a dream. Anyway I have some mp3's from my phone and i will try to upload them to share with everyone. I will do more asap. Nick. From what I can make of it, the intro to Rhiannon sounds beautiful with the piano and the orchestra.
Stevie sounds great! (pst, I think Stevie was confusing dates, cause Beautiful Child and 1976? Hmmm...) |

Thanks so much, Walrus, for doing that for us! I didn't have time this am to listen to them all, but I picked and listened to Beautiful Child and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I got tears in my eyes. Man I hope Stevie releases this concert on DVD! It had to be so cool for you to be there. I hope you know how lucky you are to have seen Stevie with an orchestra. Truly awesome.
Thanks again! ~jamie |
