Hello once again Ledgies.

Ok. So I realize that perhaps I may have gone about my "posting return" in the wrong fashion. Perhaps instead of waiting for so long - I should have voiced the opinions I voiced back when they were relevant. Timing has never been my strong suit. Be that as it may - I realize things got a little ugly - but I really was never looking to stir up a hornet's nest.

My initial post was born of frustration, sadness and anger. Just take a look at my join date - I've been here for a long time - and well I was just more frustrated than I'd ever been.

I did not mean to target any one person, if I did, or if you feel attack or targeted then I apologize for that. If anyone was offended by my post - well I apologize for that as well, I was not looking to offend.

I do stand by my beliefs but I'm big enough to apologize when I need to and I have heard that some people were hurt by what I said. I wish said people would have spoken up before things got ugly - but alas. The same has been said to me, "Why didn't I speak up earlier". I thought I could just leave and forget...

But I like the Ledge and Ledgies too much and people are right that a select few should not be allowed to ruin it for me. I didn't even take enough time to see if the people I had a problem with were still around when I posted what I did a while back.

I know I came in here more negatively than anything else - anger and frustration do that to a person. But I do believe there are wonderful and good aspects to the Ledge as well. I'm just a more pessimistic person and it's easy for me to let the bad outweight the good.

So someone telling me to simply ignore what bothers me? That doesn't work. I commend those it DOES work for - but we're all different and sadly, I am not one who easily turns a blind eye.

So I just wanted to put this out there. I was honest in my first post, angry in subsequent ones - now I'm back to being honest again.

If it's still "not fair" of me to air what I have to say - then so be it, I was so open about everything else around here - I just wanted to be open about the reasons for my hiatus

and to quote a brilliant movie...oh wait, actually it kind of sucked....but whatever...

Deanna - I appreciate your candor, and am glad that you decided to be honest about your feelings. I also understand that it might not be easy for you to ignore some of those around you.
Still, this is a good board, with lots of really good people and whether you return or not (and I hope you do), I hope you remember that.

A few familiar people here mentioned to me that I, or rather some of my opinions and posts, were missed and maybe I should at some point return.

Well I have. At least for the time being.

I think it's the same with any "regular". Yourself, seteca, diss, Brian, any of the usual suspects. They are missed. I have noticed just how many new recruits we have lately though too.

Heaven forbid if Amber stopped posting along with Dissention. I think Marty's bandwidth would fall quicker than a popularity poll for "W".

If I had been here when you left I would have missed you, but I wasn't so I didn't, but I would have. If you know what I mean.

I definitely think this place has changed for the worse. I really miss a lot of the old names. The Stevie forum is pretty much alien to me now sadly.

I think it's like any community. People move away, some return, some are new and have fresh views. Some are based here for all eternity. Some rarely post, and to counteract that we have Amber too (18500 posts and running).

I'm sure a lot of the old guard will return if/when something Mac based happens. I tend to post more when I'm either bored or in some kind of emotional healing process. This place is my internet version of comfort eating!

Chow down! Hehe. I have my hissy fits too, I think we all do. I agree that this is a microcosm of the world out there. Generally I like it here alot. Right now I read 10 questions for a test I am QA'ing and then catch up with you fine people, rinse and repeat. Hehe. I need some comforting after reading this drivel! Actually it is kind of interesting. Nerd alert!

Yes I thought all that stuff was out of order too. I think Amber has become the unofficial calming influence here. Everytime a thread starts to get abusive or out of hand Amber throws in a totally random post and everyone gets thrown off the subject. She's the Peacekeeper.
