Here is my review from Melbourne my first Stevie or Fleetwood Mac show ever.
Forgive me and others for late replies but we didn't finish until about 2:30 this morning and I had to leave my hotel by 10:00 so we are tired! Outside the Rain: I was in awe, seeing Stevie for first time in an outfit I had never seen and in platforms, great and really nailed it. Dreams: It was dreams - orchestra worked well and added depths...but it was still Dreams, you have to love it but I'm a bit over it. Rhiannon: Orchestra intro was fantastic, I loved it so much and it gave me goosebumps, she nailed it again and got in to it which was good to see. Enchanted: I love this song, so fun and easy to sing and dance along to again she really nailed the vocals. Has Anyone Ever Written Anything For You: Very powerful vocals and just fantastic for one of my favourite songs. Orchestra backed well here. Stand Back: Fantastic, everyone gets in to this clasic and a concert wouldn't be complete without it. If Anyone Falls: Great to hear Lori sing, again sounded perfect and was ecstatic when I heard the introduction. I had some idea it would be sung as I noticed Lori was onstage from the start. Beautiful Child: The only real surprise of the night and kind of a dream. The orchestra was magical and so was mood and vocals, I just wish people wouldn't howl at her during a ballad like this! Stop Draggin' My Heart Around: i can live without it but the orchestra worked really well, the song has just never worked for me. Gold Dust Woman: Amazing version and I loved Stevie's shimmy with Waddy at the end where "she caught him in his web". Fall From Grace: Vocals were too drowned out, if I didn't know the words I wouldn't have been able to understand her. Still a rocking version but I think orchestra could have been used better. Landslide: I don't know if I like this or Lindsey's ccoustic version better, the orchestra worked well but it seemed maybe a bit too busy. Edge of Seventeen: First time hearing or seeing the drum solo...interesting to say the least. Security were bastards during the Edge walk and only let first 3rows in. Rock and Roll: Cool, but I wish she would put so much passion in her own song, Vanessa Carlton joined Lori, Jana and Sharona to sing back-up here. Really nice fun little song. Beauty and the Beast: I think better than Vegas, probably due to Orchestra, amazing atmosphere, amazing vocals, amazing outfit. After this we then got a retake of Outside the Rain and Dreams because of taping issues which were awesome because everyone was pumped and standing. Only issue is that originally Stevie changed outfit after these 2 and in retake she wore her Beauty and the Beast outfit, so you won't get to see her perform in this new (I think) outfit. I would first like to thank all the Ledgies I met last night for making it an enjoyable and comfortable experience and I hope I meet you guys again soon in either Brisbane or Sydney. Lucy and Kristen (hope I spelt that right): I hope you have better luck meeting Stevie next time! Dee: I haven't laughed so much in a long time...thank you. Jayne: You are amazing, thank you so much for all your efforst with dinner and driving us around, it is really appreciated and I just wanted to make sure you knew that and don't worry I didn't get in trouble off Mum. Right that's all for now.
