Default Prince at The Brit Awards

I'm not a fan, but I'm curious and he was just great (although my 15 yr old was a bit freaked out by all the makeup he was wearing!) His voice was just the same and just as good. Lots of twiddly guitar playing and showing off, bet he'd be fun to watch in concert

Erm, it depends which concert. I saw an "intimate" concert with Prince, i.e. small venue, unexpected setlist.

Well let me tell you. There were no "Prince" songs. No Little Red Corvette. No Kiss. No Rasberry Beret. No Cream.
Nope. Prince went all Jehovah on his poor unsuspecting audience, preaching the word of the Witnesses, pleading that we all find our way to his religeon, because we're "in the 4th quarter", and we're all going to die soon. Oh and he said that Abraham Lincoln was really a racist. Yep. It was a real entertaining 2 hours.

And then what does he do 2 years later? He returns to the stage with all his old hits!! I got gyped!!

I thought Prince was nothing short of amazing at the Brit Awards. He stole the show by a clear distance from Gorillaz.

He was total class. I've never been a big Prince fan but I was converted by that performance, I'll check him out more in future for sure. I'm just pissed I didn't tape it! The only downside was when he threw off his Fender Telecaster and dropped it behind him.. Oh well, I guess it's nothing compared to Lindsey's habits on the last tour, I think even Rick Turner got pissed with doing repairs last time around.

The Brit Awards in general was total crap as usual. Apart from Prince, Gorillaz and Chris Evans hosting I was totally bored. Most of the presenters were showbiz nobodys (apart from Madge of course). I think Evans pissed off Boy George with the comments about him phoning the NYPD and leaving 10 bags of coke on full view... Nice one, he deserves what he gets IMO.

You want amazing? You should have seen him on SNL a few weeks back. He did this new song called "Fury" or something. It sounded sooo Hendrix-esqe, it blew my mind.
