Default Have you ever been to Oceania?

Oceania refers to the islands of the Pacific ocean. Suddenly I became interested in this part of the world and wanted to know more about it. Lots of these islands are close to Australia, so maybe our Australian members have been there. Just curious.

Someone I know recently went on a holiday from Brisbane to Vanuatu, but I understand there's a cyclone heading to that area currently.

Does Indonesia belong to Oceania?? I guess not.
I've never been there anyway. I was in Malaysia in nov.1999, but remember lot of tours from Kuala Lumpur to Indonesia and different islands in Oceania, and including Australia (Perth!) It was very cheap for them. For us (north and south) americans, the expensive is the flight ticket to get there.

That side of the planet is very beautiful. Thailand also, with beautiful beaches. Borneo has an exciting jungle. Fidji, Guam, Tahiti.. oh I can't stop dreaming

New Zealand is another place right near the top of the list of places I still want to visit someday.

You would love it. Especially in summer Auckland is probably the place to go, it has all the beaches and stuff that tourists love to see, but its also quite a big city, so the nightlife is pretty awesome.
