Default What kind of digital camera do you use?

I have a friend who is looking for her first digital camera. She does not want an SLR or something that is too big. I am also looking for a better camera that is not too big for concert photos.

I was wondering what kind of camera do you use and what if any do you use for concert photos?

What model number is it? Do you have a concert picture that you took with it that you could post?

Those photos came out nice. They must be from the Chicago show, right? Where did you sit for that show?

I have a Pentax S4 that took good photos for the front row Fleetwood Mac shows but not so great for the 4th row Stevie Vegas shows.

Mine is a Nikon Coolpix 3200 which I got as a Christmas present to myself last year. I did use it at a Stevie/Don concert, but I was too far away & the pictures were kind of dark. I took video clips of a couple of songs, too. Here's a concert that I used it & I was a little closer. It was at a Blues Festival in Atlantic City, NJ. Yeah, I like it because it is small & you can sneak it in concerts.

Sara, those are very nice pictures.

My Fujifilm Finepix A205 is my BFF.

Here are some of the pictures I've taken at concerts with it...

(U2, 10/22/05)

(Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, 6/15/05)

I had some great ones from when I saw the James Gang, but can't find them at the moment. I love that camera, though. It does it's job.

OMG, Kate, I love the U2 pics. I saw them 10/17/05 in Philly, but I was in the nosebleed section. Lucky you, you were really close!

8th row center. I was with Lisa. She used to frequent Nancy's board, but not sure if she still does. I believe I saw you, but didnt' meet you. You were front row, right?

I was second row. I did not have my digital yet and my 35mm was too big so I did not get any photos.

My friend ended up getting the Kodak Z730 tonight. One of the stores here has it for a good price and I think that I might pick one too up later this week.
