Default Elizabethtown II

Pitchforkmedia is reporting this morning that there's a 2nd soundtrack for Elizabethtown coming out in February. It includes new My Morning Jacket tracks along with others.
Anyone know if there's new Lindsey on it?

The Pitchfork blurb certainly seems to indicate as much: "Volume II also features a new Ryan Adams tune, "Words", a previously unreleased version of the Judee Sill song "Jesus Was a Crossmaker" by Rachel Yamagata, and a new cover of "Moon River" by Patty Griffin. Previously released tracks from Pinback, the Concretes, and Ulrich Schnauss make strange bedfellows with songs by Lindsey Buckingham, the Temptations, and Tom Petty to round out the disc."

It's not very clear whether the Lindsey song will be something new or not, but it looks like he's at least on there.

They're releasing another Elizabethtown CD, but they couldn't be bothered doing a second volume for Almost Famous, with all of the other music in the film (including "Future Games")? I'm sending this glare in your direction, Mr. Crowe.

Arrow Oooh

Interesting news, thanks for posting! The way they worded it, it sounds like maybe another new Lindsey song, but it's hard to tell. Perhaps it's Big Love?

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the Dance version of "Go Insane."

i have an idea the use of "songs" indicates - one song by Lindsey along with songs by the artists listed.

if it is a new track, it will probably be a previously unreleased one.

That is on the VBoFM (Very Best of FM) CD, if you are looking for an official copy of it.

Oh yeah, I've got it both on the Best of set and one of the "Silver Springs" singles, I was just joking about the possibility of it showing up on this soundtrack as a new song, since Lindsey apparently wanted to put it on Gift of Screws.

if you read the blurb carefully, it is not mentioned in the string of new songs. Big love was in the movie so big love will be on the 2nd. record.
