Default The Toad

I just heard on the radio the Todd Rundgren is joining The Cars (or at least whats left of them). He's replacing Rick Okasek...bringing his bass player along with him. That is all, carry on...

What?! Ocasek was the voice of the Cars, along with Ben Orr. What a friggin joke. Almost as revolting as this new Queen with Paul Rodgers. ugh.

I think that's a good fit (once I thought about it for a while)

Elliot Easton must be taking a break from Creedence Clearwater Revisited, I guess...or did Fogerty litigate those guys out of existence?

Well, when it comes to dead people, all they can do it use somebody else. Like with The 21st Century Doors, The Who, etc.

I agree, voices can't be replaced, specially when they become a band's landmark.

Hey, Ocasek is not dead, is he? Do you mean the other member? (I knew a Cars member died years ago).

No Ocasek is not dead, although me may look it. He just released a solo album a few months back. Ben Orr died a few years ago. He sang the Cars big hit "Drive."
