Default Would anyone like to join me...

as I down several glasses of self-pity, each with a tiny shot of self-loathing mixed in, blended to perfection, icy and with a potent sting as it creeps down the throat?

There's enough to go around.

Besides, I figure I can always delete this when I come to my senses.

Why are you feeling sorry for yourself?

I'm not so much feeling sorry for myself as I am wishing I had my own apartment...or at least didn't live with roommates who are slobs and who have filthy cats who sh*t all over the goddamn house.

Uh...because my air conditioner isn't working. Okay, that's not really it.

But I'm sorry you have to live with annoying people. I've lived with some people I wanted to strangle at times, too. It's a very unpleasant feeling, thinking you don't want to go home and so you just stay somewhere else as long as possible.

Well, the people themselves aren't annoying. It's the f*cking cats I hate. I want to soak their cat food in Prestone.

I mean, it's really bad...the house smells really bad...because of the cats. I don't know what the deal is....and the cats are not friendly at all. They're practically feral. I don't know why my roommates have them.

I guess you could do what someone I know used to do when he had to live with cats because he lived with their owners. He would just kick them if they got on his nerves and that somehow made him feel better. (Okay I'm not really recommending that by any means).

I don't think that would make me feel better. It certainly wouldn't stop them from sh*tting everywhere.

Please come live with me in my dorm. I have Lindsey...well, sort of. You know what I mean.

Sorry, I don't mean to make light of things.

I'm glad someone else finally appreciates the cocktail named after me, which I consume nightly. I didn't know it had made it all the way to LA, though.

Wait, lux - have you been looking for other places? Online and stuff?

Aw. Down here in LA there's much need for Amber consumption. There are people with many, many more reasons to feel self-pity than I have right now and somehow that's not stopping me.

Never does. Unless you really, really, really, really think about it. And even then it might not work.
If you go hiking and biking uphill for an hour and a half, you feel better.
So tonight I'm substituting my Amberita for a beer.
What's wrong?

Amberita. I like that.

Uh, what's wrong is that I hate message boards. And I'm posting on one. So, what's really wrong is that I'm a sadomasochist.

Are you mad at message boards? That happens to me, too. But then I can't stop, either. Well, I could, but...

You haven't found anything in six months?!?!?! That's strange. There's always roomates and sublets and stuff here, even though apts. are really expensive. I'm really suprised you haven't found anything. Why can't you renew your lease? Are they selling the house or something? I'm confused! And I haven't even had any beer...

Weren't you living at home not too long ago? Could you go back for a short time? Just til you find somewhere? Likely not the best scenario, but it would buy you some time. Would your landlord let you stay on maybe for another month?
