Yup. She's nothing but a traveling greatest hits jukebox at the moment and will continue to be nothing but until she retires. Though I'm sure the Mac will have a final tour to milk as much cash as they possibly can. No new solo album, no new Mac album; that's it.

Yeah, that's what I'm afraid of. And if that's the case, then I'm kind of over the whole bunch of them. I mean...I still like her music, but if she's not going to do anything new, then who the f*ck cares?

What he said. Except I don't see anymore Vegas gigs. Tour in Oz, Tour with Mac, retire. We will get some random benefit shows after that here and there. No new albums from Stevie, LB or the Mac.

Sadly, I think this is right on.

I think the artists and the record companies know that the money is in the touring. If Stevie made another album, it might sell, what? 800,000 copies? If that? She is an artist from another era; there is no way she will get today's kids, and both she and the record companies know it. We know it. The most we can hope is that she has a glut of music that she wants to release for fans; if she does, she'll have to release it independently. I pray that she will, but I'm not holding out hope. I think she will continue to tour, playing a setlist in her comfort zone, and then she'll retire. People like me will continue to go see her, and hold out hope that we will get to meet her some day.

Well like Mick said" She'll be doing this for donkeys years-lol". I think she will always perform. The performances may get very very few and far between as the years go on, but IMO, she will do it till the day shes physically unable to, even if its once a year for one song somewhere in the world.

You are probably right. I can see her going back to Vegas, though... at least once to do a "final" show or something along those lines....if not Vegas, then somewhere.

What you said about the money bieng in the touring is excacally what the problem is. The Eagles just came through town YET AGAIN tonight with their
"greatest hits/farewell again/we are all gonna milk this till the end" tour for the millionth time. With our girl, it seems to be that same thing, but sadly she is NOT at all alone.
